Episode 7 preview and clips
By Winter Is Coming on in Media.

HBO has released some short clips from episode 7 of Game of Thrones, You Win or You Die, to go along with the previously released preview video.

And in an ironic twist, most people have already seen this episode and these clips are old news, but this is the first time I get to watch clips that are brand new to me, so I think it is pretty exciting! You can watch the preview below, the two clips after the break.

No episode 7 spoilers in the comments! I already know more than I want to know about this episode, so please, no spoilers. Not even hints or vague references.

(PS I can’t wait until next Sunday when the episode will be new for EVERYONE.)

Insanity! HBO doing this series is like a dream come true, twelve episodes would have been better but then again so would 20! lol, the idea of owning a blu-ray set to this is a very very nice thought

I really can’t believe that I have HBO Go and have not watched episode seven. I have patiently waited. I want to see it Sunday night with the rest of the world. (Well, most of the world.)

I want to savor every episode. And since there are only a few left, I want to really make them last.

Just to pat myself on the back, I have never watched any of these preview clips, or the “Next on Game of Thrones,” at the end of each episode.

    Whoopeeeee!!!

Don’t know if this is spoiler territory or not but that scene with Cersei and Ned was Lena Heady’s best work on this show to date. You can tell she’s a little rattled but not going to back down.

    I didn’t watch Ep 7 yet, I waited because I watch with my sister (non-reader). I can’t wait!

So here’s what she asked me this week after Ep 6, since Ned finally figured out that The children are NOT Roberts, and she figured this out a while ago:

“I have to ask you one thing, I can’t wait for the answer. When does Robert find out that those children are not his? Will it be this next episode? ”

and I said to her, “You will definitely get the answer to your question this week.”

And she got all excited. she was literally jumping up and down down going “Yes! Yes!’

She doesn’t know what happens to Robert on the hunt. She thinks as soon as he gets back, Ned goes right to him and tells him. :)

so she get her question answered, just not the one she’s expecting.

she’s going to hate me. :(

    Posted May 27, 2011 at 12:51 pm | Permalink

Man, it’s been a while since I read the books, but I don’t remember as much emphasis on the idea of Ned seizing power in Robert’s absence (let alone Littlefinger seemingly coaching him to do so) as was indicated in this clip. Could this be where the show starts to deviate from the story as we know it? I honestly wouldn’t mind if they throw some complications in there–I thought that, in the books, Littlefinger’s betrayal was waaaaaaaay too telegraphed, and Ned came off like a huge schmuck for just going ahead with his plan to accuse the queen without more people watching his back. (Note: HUGE SPOILER in that last redacted patch.) So having it revolve more around a more open conflict between the Starks and the Lannisters might make for a better story.

I had every intention of waiting, but my bf did not. : ) I decided that the best way to fill my extra week of no new episode will be to rewatch the episodes that have aired thus far. I’ve watched all of the episodes twice, if not three times, and each time it is easier to separate it from the book and see the series as it’s own entity. I hope you all find it as enjoyable as I did, and I can’t wait to read both reviews. : )

I would hope so, because so far I haven’t been too impressed by Heady’s seemingly tired and weak Cersei. A lot of it is her feeble voice, I think. Or is that how she’s in the books as well?

I never pictured it that way either, but I notice she’s starting to ratchet it up a little bit, the scene at Ned’s bedside it seemed like the Cersei I’d imagined was starting to come out. I think progress toward a more actively fierce Cersei might be preferable to her being dialed up to 11 from the beginning.

I don’t know, she does indeed seem a bit “tired” which i would say i didn’t really imagine untill later on in like book 3 and 4. but i can imagine that with teh constant scheming and lieing and having the vigilance to keep that up on a constant basis will defintiely wear you down.

I chose not to see Ep. #7 on HBOGo. For one, it sometimes will have a bit of lag, and for another it is often blury (probably a resolution thingy on my laptop that I haven’t figured out yet), although sometimes it is clear as a bell. Anyhow, it is not quite the optimum viewing experience. I like it for rewatching an episode, for the informative side bars, but prefer watching a new episode on TV. Prankster,

Ned doesn’t accept Renly’s offer because Renly wants to be King, which is unlawful, so obviously Ned would reject it. He trusts LF because: 1) Cat told him to trust LF, 2) LF has been helpful to Ned so far, telling him about all of Robert’s bastards, Cersei’s/Varys’ spies, etc. The deception is certainly more obvious in the show, however, because we get the LF brothel scene at the beginning, which wasn’t in the book.

With regards to European soccer/football whatever… feeling passionate about soccer here (The US) is similar to being passionate about the Toledo Mud Hens or the Lansing Lug-nuts.

Maybe it happens, but not very often.

All-in-all I think I was disappointed in this episode. Some of the scene choices are off to me. Strangely enough while reading the books I felt the Dany parts were the most lacking and during the first season so far, I feel just the opposite. Emilia and Harry Lloyd, Jason Momoa (which I was pretty skeptical about) et al. have been great.

    Knurk,

The current Rangers is a likeable group of guys. Hard workers, just not enough talent right now. It is what it is though. Rangers MO generally is the first few weeks going really well, then descending into mediocrity, into awfulness, rising into just enough mediocrity to squeak into the eighth playoff spot to be knocked out in the first round.

…And they fool me every year.

I hope HBO never does a promotion like this again. It is one thing when a few critics and lucky fans have seen the show it is quite another when thousands of people have seen episodes early. It really ruins the communal experience of watching the show and makes people who have not seen it seem late to the party.

First of all, this!! This and u guys dunno the half of what happenned with Mourinho…Barça NVER dives (well ok mb Alves, but we here also booo at him when he does it, so u know…he is the black sheep every club has (Nani anyone? (Nani plays for manchester for the guys thst don’t knowP)), but what happened with Real in the cup final and the tension mourinho and the madrid media build, with the lies the spilled, lead to those unfortunate incidents…

BUT DID U GUYS WATCH THE GAME LAST NITE??? HAVE U SEEN THAT BEAUTY IN A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL BEFORE??? THE BEST FUC$%& TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL HAHAA!!!! :-DDDD

I could not read enough english papers this morning at the various european airports I visited on the way back home :P

PS: I have to say I respected a lot Sir Alex Fergusson for the way he acted, the things he said, after we beat them 2 years ago. This respect only grew stronger after last nite…a true gentleman. (Mourinho should learn from him, really :)

PPS: Also my praise to the many ManU fans we encountered after the game and that did come to shake hands and congratulate us for the win…I wouldn’t mind playing them every year for the title tbh :-)

PPPS: And as I don’t want any quarrels with the Liverpool fans, I have to say many of them came to congratulate us too, so my thanks to them, although in their case I guess it was easier ;-)

Injuries in soccer are more common and last much longer…and is not only becasue in one game u wear armor and on the other u don’t (mmm yeah who are the real men??), it’s becasue in one u actually have to do a real effort and run to play it, not use skates to make the job easier ;-)

People don’t realize how tiring and physically demanding football is (see that I didnt say soccer…soccer is what the granpas that are retired from the real game go play in the states :P), specially nowadays…the field is HUGE and they don’t stop running up and down during 90 mins, sprinting, tackling, dribbling…there’s thousands of players that can do what Messi does in a 5 vs 5 game in a smalll pitch, but only one that can do it 1 min after having sprinted 60y…over and over and over again.
