Comic-Con may be over, but the interviews and other features from the San Diego geekfest continue to trickle out. Here are a selection of them:
- A trilogy of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau interviews with MTV Geek.
- Wayne Brady’s little brother interviews the cast and crew during the post-panel signing for Warner Bros.
- Matt Fowler, IGN TV editor, gives his panel report to a blonde reporter who looks like she doesn’t want to be there.
- EW.com continues their oppressively awkward series of interviews, this time with George R. R. Martin.
- ThinkHero, as promised, has posted their video of the full panel, with zooming and everything!
- GRRM interviewed by Attack of the Show. Attack!
- Simone Boyce of Boomtron blogs about getting to meet Emilia, Kit and Nikolaj.
- Another GRRM interview, this one from our friends up north. No, not the wildlings, the CBC.
- Jason Momoa interviewed by Collider and he talks about rape again.
- And my personal favorite, these photos from EW.com of the cast of Thrones. Scroll through to see them all (Momoa was photoed on a different day). What a great looking cast! They even got GRRM to pose for a pic.
- Also from EW.com, pics of the stars arriving for their EW @ Comic-Con party, including Peter Dinklage (who must have a whole wardrobe full of zip-up hoodies) and Kit Harington (who looks like he spent too much time in the SoCal sun).
Stay tuned for more from Comic-Con as FaBio still has some stories left to tell.

Thanks Winter for all the Comic-Con coverage, it was such a thril to see the people who brought such beloved characters to life! Tremendous job for the lot of them!

That photo makes them look like the cast of a 90s NBC sitcom.
(I would totally watch that show.)

Nikolaj’s interview with MTVGeek is great. The more I read his interviews, the more I like him. He really *gets* Jaime, plays him perfectly and seems to be a great guy in general. I couldn’t be happier, since Jaime is my favorite character.
btw Kit’s picture at Comic-Con’s party is hilarious. So he *can* smile, after all o.O

Jason Momoa’s interviews always make me laugh cuz he just sounds so chill and yeah lets just hang out and talk, man. none of this formal interview crap. lol even when the interview IS a formal one, his tone and the way he talks is so casual. I cant help but love him.

I just looked at the NY Times bestseller list, and it is ridiculous… All five books are in the top 20! Dance with Dragons is #1, and Game of Thrones is #5. Mr. Martin must be pretty excited that HBO has gotten him so much positive exposure through the show, and new fans of the books.

lol, i can’t stop laughing now xD

Duvall,
You beat me to it — that was the same exact thing I thought when I saw the picture.

Watching Jason’s interview just makes me more sad that he got killed off. Lena’s EW picture though is hilarious–so un-Cersei like haha.

LOL! I can see that.
Nicolaj as the simple minded but well meaning dad that always gives his kids some fatherly advice at the end of each episode.
Lena as the wife and”straight” person. Always nagging her husband about this and that and getting shocked at all the crazy stuff the rest of the family gets up to.
Emilia as the uhm… generous, boycrazy dim-witted daughter.
Kit as the poor guy that always gets draws the shortest straw and gets blamed for everything that goes wrong in the family.
And Peter as the crazy next door neighbor. Always getting gullible
Nicolaj mixed up in one of his new, crazy projects.

bahaaa what EXACTLY do you mean by uhm… generous?

Apparently, NCW loves the “Damn it feels good to be a Lannister” video. (You guys should check it out if you haven’t seen it yet…)

Oh wow the makeup department is going to have their work cut out for them trying to make Kit not look all sunburned. Sunburned doesn’t exactly fit the Wall environ. lol

Heh. Loved that clip of NCW taking pics of the crowd. He really does come off as a smart and personable guy (And sitting with some random fan at breakfast while he listens to the history of ComicCon? Seriously. How cool was that?). Actually, all of these actors seem genuine re: their respect and enthusiasm for the material and its fans. It’s clear they’re totally enjoying the experience and not just treating it as PR duty.
They couldn’t have chosen a better group of ambassadors (and talented actors) for the show.

Woo! Fans from the North represent. You know you’ve made it big when the CBC takes note.

sjwenings,
Nah, that’s too conventional.
Nicolaj is the straight person, the stay-at-home dad, who grounds the entire family and keeps them whole. But he has a dark secret in his past, where he (accidentally) ran over an 8 year old with the family van and hid the body. This is only hinted at in season 1 and won’t come out until the cliff-hanger finale of season 2. In season 3 the secret will pull the family together and they’ll rally around him with the police on their heels.
Peter is the other dad, the breadwinner of the family, whose mouth gets him into all sorts of trouble with his bosses and nearly gets fired many times for his honesty, despite being good at what he does. He’s in advertising and could sell a pair of lungs to a fish.
Kit is the jock of the family. He’s good at every sport, all the girls in school fawn over him, but he still finds things to complain about and isn’t too bright. He’s hoping to get into college on a football scholarship because that’s the only way he’ll get in, and is aiming for the NFL.
Emilia on the other hand, is the gamer of the family and spends most of her time in the basement. Her favorites are Civilization, Starcraft, and Age of Empires, though she’s also quite level-upped in WoW. Unlike Kit, she’s quite bright and is one of those kids who could get good grades if she were to apply herself. She sometimes forgets to feed her pets.
Teacher: Emilia, where’s your calculus homework? I told you, no more gaming.
Emilia: Sorry Ms. Fairley, my dragon ate it.
*cue laughtrack*
Leena is Peter’s sister, the zainey aunte who’s crashing at their place while she tries to get her not-so-successful wig business off the ground. Actually, she’s had a string unsuccessful projects and start-ups and has been crashing at their place for as long as Kit and Emilia can remember. She’s also known for her random moments of clarity and wisdom to help the family out of “situations” that come in the form of gnomic utterances.
Leena: When you play the Game of Mousetrap, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.
Nicolaj and Peter (in unison): Leena!
*cue laughtrack*

Is this known? There’s an article comparing ASoIaF with the recent Murdoch scandal. My father came across it on The Guardian website:

Thanks for posting these. Was there myself, but not able to be in all the places at once unfortunately! Was in that mob of people at the WB Signing though and did happen to see Nikolaj Coster-Waldau walking down the streets of San Diego as I was leaving the con! Was great to finally see Game of Thrones at the con in force…been waiting years for that! :)
