As we previously announced, the Winter-Is-Coming.net Merchandise site has launched. You can pre-order the official Always Support the Bottom t-shirt now. We will be placing the order for the shirts soon, so get your pre-order in to be sure you receive a tee!
To sweeten the pot a bit, we are going to be giving away a Stark shield keychain to 5 lucky folks who pre-order their AStB shirts. So if you want a shirt, you should order one (or more!) now to have a chance at winning a keychain. Every shirt ordered will be considered an entry, so the more you order the better chance you have of winning. And based on the number of orders so far, your odds of winning are already pretty good.
The shirts will be shipping out in late September. As we noted before, if you will be attending TitanCon and would like to wear your shirt there, place your pre-order now and then send us an email letting us know you’d like to pick your shirt up at the con and we will have it ready and waiting for you.
For the ladies, we hope to have women’s sizes available eventually. However these shirts are fairly slim fit, so if you can’t wait and want a shot at a keychain, a medium or small should prove wearable. Here is the sizing chart and also a photo of a size small shirt on an average-sized woman.

I think this is all cool stuff, but I want to go off-topic before this post gets too full.
It’s about ADwD but no spoilers.
I’m finding it rough going. I’m at the chapter called the Wayward Bride. There are just so many minor characters, nicknames, etc.
I read for pages and have no idea what Old George is talking about. My favorite chapters have been the main ones: Jon, Brandon, Tyrion, but there is just SO much to keep track of.
Anyone else having this problem?
No, I’m not some air-headed reader. I’ve done read me plenty of dem dar book things. I just find this tedious.

Hollyoak, you’re not alone. Many people had the same problem, me included. It slows down a LOT in the middle sections. It picks up a bit again near the end, but it’s just a tease because right when it is getting good again, the book ends. :/

Winter is coming…………..Would it be true to say that “Based on the orders received so far you have a good chance of winning.” means that you have not received a lot of orders? Personally speaking , although I do firmly and loyally ” support the bottom” in the figurative sense, I would not buy the shirt as its WIC meaning is only understood by a very small (relatively) number of folks . To the unintiated “support the bottom” likely to be taken in its literal sense, which also does not appeal to me either. No offence to any Rainbow cloaks out there. Are there more designs in the pipeline? How about House Gatewatch or Castle Wyknet tees, maybe in a heraldic stye to compliment HBOs offerings. A competition to design some original shirts would be pretty cool……….Just sayin`.

Everyone always says this about every asoiaf book when it first comes out. After a reread it’s much easier to follow and the story properly falls into place.
The asoiaf community is surprisingly similar to the Counter-Strike community. They always hate the latest release, right up until something new comes along for them to hate, and then the supporters of the rpeviuos version come out of the woodwork.

I’m sure they’ll add more stuff in the future. In the meantime if you can’t wait, just check out the HBO store for Game of Thrones. They have a lot of awesome stuff there, though a bit pricier.
I hope you guys would also offer shirts in women sizes. Even the small size is not figure fitting enough :/

GaR. That is funny. You know, if the smart geeks over at Tower of the Hand wrote up their exhaustive chapter summaries, I’m sure I’d find it easier going. They have a way of writing up the plot so you can really understand what the hell you’ve just read. It’s taking them a while to get them up. I can certainly understand that.
