HBO has sent out a notice to the media that tomorrow they will air an all-new teaser for Game of Thrones‘ second season called Cold Winds. As per usual, the trailer will air just prior to the season finale of Boardwalk Empire which starts at 9 PM ET. We will have the trailer embedded here immediately after it airs.
Winter Is Coming: Yes! Even though I was half-expecting this, it is still very exciting! Hoping for some better shots of Melisandre and Brienne, and maybe our first glimpse at Yara or Roose or Jaqen? What are you hoping to see?

Is there a difference between a teaser and a trailer? The Night Is Dark And Full Of Terror one is what I would consider a teaser, I was hoping the one HBO airs tomorrow would be at least a 1 min+ trailer with lots of footage from season 2.

Last year, there were 5 “teasers” (varying in length from about 20 seconds to about 1min20sec). Then there were 3 or 4 “full length trailers” that were usually a little over 2 minutes in length.

I’m curious to see what they’ve done for the 3 crooks in a cage; Jaqen, Rorge and Biter. I’d actually be surprised if Jaqen has two-toned hair, or if Rorge is noseless. The hair thing probably wouldn’t translate too well to the screen (it might look cool, but probably not), and removing Rorge’s nose with special effects would be pretty difficult to pull off (pun intended).
Similarly, I’d be surprised if they actually filed Biter’s teeth down into points, but I assume dentures are easier to make than a noseless face. And since Biter doesn’t have any speaking parts, they could probably pull that off with relative ease.
It will be interesting to see how close they stuck to the books, and if they ended up compensating for Rorge’s nose by giving him some other kind of facial wound that was easier to create with makeup. A gaping scar across the entirety of his face, or something like that, might have a similar effect.

Wow, I just rewatched all the old trailers… I’d forgotten how spoilery they were, especially the final ones.
There were 9 trailers all together (5 “teasers”, 4 “full length”, although I don’t understand the distinction, since some of the teasers are just as long as the later trailers). The 4 “full length” ones contained the most spoilery shots, though, and all came within the final month before the premiere.

make sure you go to bed on time and get up half an hour earlier than normal on Monday. Like this you’ll be well rested, you’ll have half an hour to get all psyched out about the trailer, and you’ll start your difficult week with a rush of energetic excitement!

Ok, they got to scale it up a little with the fight scenes for the second season. Season one was lame for it, it’s only called “Clash of Kings” We got to see some kings clashing.
Also they have so much material to make a bad ass show. C’mon HBO! If they even get to book 4, which I think they will I really hope they don’t stick to the books. You guys can be creative u know!!! It’s a freakin fantasy series by HBO not George Martin!!

Yeah, I think they’ll add a lot more this time, considering the wealth of content we received in the last teaser. Bran’s dreams, or the Lands beyond the Wall (maybe I’m a bit optimistic here though)? EDIT: Or actually, I think it might signify the “winds of change” element, i.e. the many rebellions throughout the realm, so we might get shots of the Greyjoys, or as I said earlier Robb’s reign.
