Episode 8 did not contain any boobs, just like the latest instalment we’ve seen of season 2, but to be fair, that’s the ep with a full frontal view of Hodor’s hodor, which more than compensates for it.

Dr. Craster is creepy! Reminds me of the Dr close to me in Virginia, who did exactly that, and then was outed when too many former patients back for checkups noticed that their children looked exactly alike.. He ended up with like 150 kids from his infertility practice.

Funny. I just read an article recently about sperm banks charging more for blond hair and blue eyes. Looks like Dr. Craster knows how to advertise.
However, I read in another article that everyone with blue eyes is related through a common ancestor, going back some 10,000 years, or something like that.

I hope it’s not too elaborate, though, as there isn’t enough screen time in the series to really delve into the history of Westeros. It’s possible that D&D will have Dany having a different experience in the HOTU than is described in the books. A vision of the horrific deaths of Rickard and Brandon Stark would serve to illustrate the nuts-and-bolts reality of the Tagaryen words to a young woman with more ambition than wisdom.

They filmed Rickard and Brandon Stark deaths last year but they never aired the scene. This guy could be from the scene they filmed last year or a new one cast for a new Mad King scene this year. They could possible be using the scene they filmed last year with Brandon and Rickard Stark deaths for the House of the Undying this year.

Episode 5 was probably my favorite of the first 5 and I think it had very much to do with the lack of boobs. Less random sex scenes means more story and characters I love advancing the plot.

Actually there is one boob in ep 5 when Bronn and Tyrion are in the streets of King’s Landing. After the demon monkey speech Bronn walks off saying “you don’t need to convince me.” Walking behind them is an old man with one of his man boob flopped out.

Ha, I didn’t even know they had actually shot such a scene already. If so, I guess the actors involved can put that in their resumés even if the producers end up cutting it altogether. That would be a shame, though.
In terms of shock/horror value, the scene would be even worse than the one in Joffrey’s bedroom. The viewers have already been told this event was the trigger for Robert’s rebellion, but seeing it would reinforce the point.
However, we do not know what Dany was taught about her family history and the rebellion. In medieval times, royal historians never let the facts get in the way of justifying a family’s claim to power, so chances are the khaleesi’s head is full of propaganda at this point – at least some of it Illyrio’s. It seems unlikely that her father’s actions would have been presented to her as anything other than the king’s prerogative. Claims of madness would probably have been attributed to the usurper and his co-conspirators.
Actually seeing the scene play out would surely shock Dany as much as us, even if she did not immediately recognize the man on the Iron Throne as her own father. Jorah could fill in the gaps if she asks him.
What she would see is the power of fire in the hands of a person without a gentle heart. Dany is a child of centuries of inbreeding, e.g. her own mother was also her aunt. Not every Targaryen had a high tolerance for heat, nor did all of them develop mental illness. However, the warlocks might well want to put a seed of doubt in her mind, given that she will soon command the most fearsome arsenal in Essos since the Doom of Valyria.
