This is it, folks, the last episode of The Daily Raven—at least where season 2 is concerned! Special thanks to Simone for hosting, co-writing, and basically doing everything else. For free! And thanks to Winter-Is-Coming for the platform!

Fire And Blood: Great inaugural run, Simone! Let’s aim for three times as awesome in season 3!

Nice job Simone, see you next year!
Aaaaa… FIRST!
Enjoyed the recap, but don’t see how most people wouldn’t get the Jon/Qorin fight (purpose to get Jon the trust of the wildlings so he can infiltrate to spy for the NW) since Qorin would certainly be killed by Mance in retaliation for the many wildlings he’s probably killed in rangings and defending the wall over many years, and a quick death by Jon would certainly be better for Qorin than torture by Mance. And, I think Qorin said “We are the watchers ON the wall,” but will have to re-watch to clarify. Nevermind, nice recap and hope we’ll see more interviews in the off-season!

And yes, Simone knows it’s “…ON the Wall,” not “OF the Wall.” Just so’s ya know. We just didn’t think that was enough for a reshoot.

Great job on these Simone! Let’s hope she keeps other GOT goodies coming these next 10 months.
I agree with her on all points, maybe we might get a bonus DR as she analyzes the season as a whole?
And that Tshirt, so BOSS!

seven hells yeah. but my mind kept formulating ways to play with that control… not sane, huh?
I feel the same. I man can hope that Simone will continue to make these in the off season, and she’ll tackle the epic finale later ^^

That controller looks distorted.

No mention of the white walkers?

that was a good TDR, if a bit short, funny in a few places, with an opinion more than a recap, but ewww bath salt reference makes me cringe :)
thanks for all the hard work guys! This show is epic by itself, amazing when you’ve read the books and understand more in depth, and is made a truly unique experience by all the value added from WiC goodies.

Thank you Simone and thank you WiC
These recaps have been very enjoyable. I agree on many of your points but also feel the summary should have included your take on snow white, err… the white walkers. Oh well.
Will definitely keep on visiting this fantastic web site, which is like a second home to me, to catch up on the casting news, interviews and other treats all you great peeps have given us crazy fans.
Great job!

Speculating about Theon: I’m wondering whether they intend to extend his story somewhat. In the book it’s plausible that he may actually be dead, and that makes his return in ADWD that much more startling.
In the series he is only seen being handed over to the Stark forces, as Robb wants him alive. Now they could just go ahead and move to him being the tortured prisoner of Ramsay. However that may be a bit hard for non-book readers to follow given how characters move around Westeros in the space of an episode in the show, and add to that the fact they have no reason to believe Theon is dead which lessens the impact of his returning much later on. The worst of both worlds in some ways.
So, I speculate that he will have a ‘new’ plotline involving Ramsay, and the revealing of his apparent murdering of the Stark boys (surely this has to become common knowledge), this would be able to include some of the Ramsay/Reek and Theon interaction we missed last season (not all of it obviously) and possibly even give his and Robb’s story some closure. Afterall Robb doesn’t have a great deal to do next season until the big event. That said surely Robb would take his head off instantly if he thought Theon had killed the boys?
Tl’dr I just can’t see them leaving out Alfie Allen and the Bolton/Greyjoy/Fall of Winterfell plot until season 5 or so, especially given how it was portrayed on screen.
Edit: Sorry about the spoiler guff, the preview told me it was fine. :|

No mention of the White Walker/Other led onslaught coming to the Fist Of The First Men at the end? Or the stare down Sam Tarly had with the Other? It wouldn’t have taken that much more time heh!

I was in Gamestop and I heard Simone’s voice. At first I saw her and I recognized her but I couldn’t place who she was exactly. I came home to check WiC and there she is! You don’t have to wait a year to hear her voice! She’s the new chick on the gamestop tv! YAY!
