A short Making Game of Thrones post confirms what we reported a while back: they started running three filming units for the first time this season. The third unit is called Raven, joining the Dragon and Wolf units that have been running the past couple years. Here is a call sheet that they posted as proof:
Winter is Coming: The most complex and intense shooting schedule in television got even more so this year. Let’s hope that all this hard work continues to deliver excellent results.

I bet the art department snickers behind the production staff’s backs for using the Papyrus font.

Watson,
exactly watson… it kills me at the amount that crap font gets over used.

It’s an ok font, but it’s brutally over-used.

Haha! So true. I don’t really get it either as it gives the production a vaguely Egyptian feel, when they should be going for feudal England. Also, are they not allowed to use the official logo or something?

Winter Is Coming,
I’m not sure they’re entirely concerned with the amount of artistic effort they put into their call sheets.

I am curious to know is there a budget increase for this season ?

could have been worse, could have been comic sans.

Really?? Now we’re discussing fonts? What about the actual production schedule? Where is Raven? in Morroco?

Anon,
Comic sans politely disagrees. :-)
Raven unit, I love the sound of it. Just fly to Iceland already, I need a picture of Mance like I need air.

Am I the only one a little disappointed they didn’t call the third unit the “Lion” unit?

They’ve certainly changed it since the pilot. Different title entirely got that.
And keeping it in track… Does having the same crew working with the same actors help? Does it make it easier for the directors to swap in and out?

And I’m on board with that. My penmanship closely follows that font, naturally.
Who knew ? I was perpetuating a trend :D

Omg…I’m doing a graphic design course and it drives me nuts when people make a comic sans joke, I dont get it! It’s so silly!

After a feast of tapas inspired Production News tidbits, this is a drizzle of water to
help wash it down. Some of us would rather have a goblet filled with wine :D !
