This one goes out to those poor frozen Canadiennes and others likely
performing this ritual. Ah, the pleasnt joys of sitting through perpetual
springtime in California……… . Here’s wishing you guys a warm Holiday
    anyway :D

    WildSeed,

Don’t be silly. It’s a balmy 8 degrees here in Toronto.

    Winter is not !@#%ing here.

    WildSeed,

Yeah here in Ottawa it’s slightly chilly. That’s it. I am worried that without an early foundation of snowfall that my igloo may not survive the winter. I hope my wife Igluk’s body warmth will sustain me. Gotta go get some furs!

I was about to comment about how warm it is in Canada where I am and then realized there’s a lot of Canadians on here to be sarcastic! :D

Then again, Wild Seed said “Canadiennes”… it’s probably colder in Quebec. But certainly not cold enough for snow, I hope for their sake.

It’s even getting chillier here in San Diego. All the way down to 69 degrees Farenheit.

Oh, dear, whatever shall I do? I have put a blanket back on my bed, it’s true.

Be well and stay near the hearth, warm blessings to you and yours….. (:

We’re experiencing a cool wet front that’s blowing in from Alaska, so
we here will sit through a day of wet 60 degree (F) , that’s very cool for
us in N Cal. I may have to find a sweater from somewhere. It’s only
for a day or two, then back to springtime and growing lemons.

I just read the Xharo /Doreatha comic below the Winter lament……….that
    one was amusing too.

Chasing Mavericks again Amsterpaul ? The sharks are out in force too ( CA),
so be careful. A Kraken could be just as worse methinks.

No way ser Joshua ! I did pause to consider that Nova Scotia, and US
points Northeast and New England are fortifying their Igloos too
for the winter. Be Warm and sated my friends.

Then there’s the small midwest town of Hell Michigan, that frequently freezes
over each year. The wind chill factor of minus 20 (F ) is common and expected.
Definitely an ideal place for the Frostfangs, above the Wall.

I wonder if Craster’s Keep is anywhere near there.

    WildSeed,

That’s like -7 degrees Celsius… not very cold at all! I had a friend teach for a bit up in the Yukon. There they let the kids play in -40 degree Celsius weather, which it turns out is -40 F as well. Just think about that for a moment…

Edit: Ah, you said minus 20! That makes far more sense, but quite average for my area… aren’t things supposed to freeze in the winter? :( I feel like I live in the Arctic now, though I boil all summer! Thank you Californian…

Well, in New York the sight of a shovel and bag of salt are common in winter, but we have not seen the Others yet (praise R’hllor and the old gods too)! Is that supposed to be Dolorous Edd in the top cartoon?

Still hold that Doreah and Ducksauce’s deaths were among the most brutal in S2, if only for the grim possibilities in my imagination. If they didn’t suffocate in time, one might have eaten the other for the moisture alone.

A bit late to the party, but if you follow the link and press play you’ll see a clip from the Icelandic news and some footage from the area where the crew is filming in Iceland now, as well as some interviews with locals and even an extra. Winter has definitely arrived there..

    Also, http://grapevine.is/News/ReadArticle/Myvatn-Fully-Booked-Due-To-Game-Of-Thrones.

I was in Iceland for the 2009 summer holiday’s doing the ring road route and Myvatn was one of the most enjoyable stops (Dimmuborgir, Godafoss, Dettifoss, the lava fields..), although I have to say I really enjoyed everything about Iceland…awesome country!

And as long as we’re sharing weather updates I have to say the winter still hasn’t come to Barcelona, although it has definitelly became chiller at nite ;)
