Who among us hasn’t thought to themselves, “Y’know, I’d really like to hear Sansa, Arya and Bran beatbox and freestyle rap over the Game of Thrones opening credits.” Well, our prayers have been answered!
This is from the episode 3 commentary track on the season two DVD and Blu-ray, which releases on February 19.
Winter Is Coming: So awesome. This is, of course, a sequel to last year’s singing the opening credits. You gotta love these kids!

“We’ve matured an awful lot, I have to say…. so we decided to beatbox it instead!” :)

Well, when did we hear the kids laugh before? Good to hear they had fun. :)
Btw. i think IHW sounds a bit like his voice got a lil deeper or is about to change.

Can’t wait for the Blu-Ray!! Love all the bonus features!
Hopefully this time, the Hidden Dragons are a mix of Cast auditions and cut/deleted scenes since we know they had some cut scenes (Irri’s death, Sansa and The Hound confrontation etc…) That would be perfection.

As I have said before, the guys are seriously cool and I am glad I was able to meet several of the Stark kids :)

I’d love it if they somehow worked “Come at me, bro!” into Sansa’s dialogue in S4.

I got the S1 DVDs for Christmas & loved when they “sang” over the intro. This S2 intro with the three of them was a real treat to listen to!! Can’t wait for the S2 DVDs. Thanks for posting this for us, WiC!

Good to hear the kids laugh and have fun. Oftentimes GoT deals with heavy issues and ideas while the atmosphere is often intense and serious, and the children are many times at the heart of it, but it is clear that they do enjoy what the are doing and seeing this lighthearted side is even more endearing!

I always knew the Stark kids brought da muthafuckin’ ruckus, and provoked Lannisters to kick buckets.

Haha! That’s brilliant! Come at me bro! Also, Maisie’s laugh is priceless!
Wha ya sayin bru?

Sansa and Bran rapping…who would have thought! Of course, if the Starks had lived in our own time, Arya would have been the female Eminem, so no surprize there :-)

Isaac laying down a beat and Sophie bringing it while Maisie giggles in the background is priceless. Love these kids.

That was a horrible rap………and I loved it. Rock on!

Maybe I am getting a bit old but I found that kinda irritating. I also remember skipping their commentary for the season 1 Blu Ray.

Rygar,
That’s because Rickon wasn’t there ;)

Off Topic:
Found a rather long interview with Julian Glover. He talks about his role, season 3, and much more. He drops some serious spoilers, including the description of a scene in the next season! The video with Charles Dance, which is promoted at the end, is spoilery as well!
AbyssQuote Reply
Does anyone know if Best Buy (or even Amazon) will be doing the House sets like they did last year? Those slip covers were really amazing and something I’d hoped they would continue.
JonathanQuote Reply
Abyss,
That Spoiler really seems to throw the Cat amongst the pigeons doesn’t it.
Unless of course he’s only talking about what he heard about from the books or seen in a season 4 script.
MormegilQuote Reply
Mormegil,
Yeah, I would think so as well. What is interesting to note however, is that the really heavy spoilers always come from the older more established actors. Could be, that it’s a case of knowing exactly what goes and what does not. ;-)
AbyssQuote Reply
Brilliant. By the end of the series, they’ll have enough material for an album.

Did anybody else notice the new chapter from Winds of Winter on GRRM’s website? It’s POV is the Princess of Dorne.
Rad1999Quote Reply
It was irritating, but only in the way siblings are loud, goofy and silly when they get together–that’s why I loved it. They seemed like real-life brother and sisters.
I also skipped the child actor commentary when first viewing the DVD extras for Season 1, but went back to it several weeks later and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was more interesting than, say, David and Dan’s dull and sarcastic commentary to Episode 10.

Give a woman a word of warning – there’s coffee all over my keyboard. XD

I enjoyed his interview more than I thought I would! It’s kind of amusing how unabashedly high his opinion is of himself–but it’s not unwarranted; Glover is a very accomplished actor.
MATTHEWQuote Reply
MATTHEW,
What do you think about the spoiler he gives away?
Is he saying that Tywins Death has been filmed and will be in Season 3 (thus making a big mess of the Timeline) or is he just talking about it as a future scene that will be in a later season?
MormegilQuote Reply
MATTHEW,
The kids commentary in season 1 was easily my favorite…followed by the one with Dinklage and after that the one with Lena
James WilliamsQuote Reply
You can tell the actors are more comfortable around eachother now though (not that they weren’t in the first season) There is more genuine giggling and joking going on! They sound so normal for such amazing children actors and actresses.
J.R.Quote Reply
I seriously doubt that the scene he discussed will be in Season 3. That wouldn’t make any sense at all, given that the events leading up to that moment involve important characters that haven’t been cast yet. I took his statement to mean that we can look forward to that memorable moment in future seasons.
MATTHEWQuote Reply
Lena Headey is delightful; I always like to hear from her. I like GRRM’s commentary as well. Really looking forward to the Season 2 Blu-Ray set.

MATTHEW,
I hope you’re right. I was a bit worried because Charles Dance says he dies in season 3 (not verbatim, but something close) in that linked interview. However, it was a kid on the street who told him apparently so the kid could’ve just meant book 3 and it got translated to mean season 3. But I thought Julian seemed to know a lot about it, esp since he doesn’t read the books and the scripts wouldn’t be out for season 4. Hopefully Charles Fance just told him about it. I wholeheartedly agree that it makes zero sense for Tywin to dies this season, but that doesn’t make me very confident that it won’t happen this year!
