The Los Angeles Times has posted another clip from the Inner Circle feature on the Game of Thrones season two box set. It features Emilia Clarke, Michelle Fairley and others debating who the rightful ruler of Westeros should be.
UPDATE: The Wall Street Journal has a clip as well, this one from the “Making the Battle of Blackwater Bay” feature.
In other news, the official Game of Thrones Twitter account has revealed what the hidden dragon eggs on the season two Blu-rays contain…

One of the deleted scenes will surely be Doreah killing Irri

I’m still waiting for Best Buy and Amazon to drop the price of the DVD/BR’s like last year.

Thank the Seven or R’hllor or whoever is responsible for deleted scenes being on the BD set!

Woah, actually deleted scenes this time around? Not often HBO includes those.
Hoping we get Irri’s death and more between Sansa and The Hound.

Inside Blackwater, don’t know if it’s been posted.

Hoping there will be that scene between Sansa and Sandor for which we had a still because I don’t think they’ll release the ‘Enough’ said by Sandor in 2×04 so at least I want to see the scene from this still!

About time that we get to see deleted scenes. I wonder how it ”could” have been if it wasn’t for what actually did happen.
That is good news nonetheless.
LexyvilQuote Reply
Didn’t know about that one yet. Added it to the post. Thanks for the heads up!

The reason for a lack of deleted scenes last season was due to the producers using all the footage they shot per david and dan. Of course season 1 had an avg run time of about 58 mins per episode whereas season 2 was a dissapointing 51 mins per episod ( i diy calculations myself early last year). So they better have more footage since there is an abundance amount of source material to draw from. My personal rating take on season 1 is a 10 whereas season 2 was about a solid 7.5.

Any word on the NYC “Take The Black” event next Monday? Haven’t seen a peep anywhere.

I just saw the first commercial promoting the DVD/BR release while channel surfing. It was on ESPN. It had the bells ringing throughout while different scenes flashed on screen. The only two lines of dialogue were Joffrey’s “The king can do as he likes!” and Tyrion’s “Reign fire on them.” Following Tyrion’s line they showed the wildfire explosion.

It is some sort of midnight release event at the Best Buy in Union Square.

That’s what they said, unfortunately, those who picked apart the season 1 trailers know that is not the truth. There is one key scene–a flashback–missing from the series that was shown in the trailer(s).

Which won’t be a “deleted” scene should they decide to use it later on in the series…

The intro to this World of Warcraft gameplay clip is a pretty clever take on the GoT opening.

Maybe we were never supposed to see the “deleted scene” from Season 1. Didn’t Sean Bean play another character in it? Maybe they wanted to film it for later all along, while he was still part of the production.
BiscottiQuote Reply
1: I only recently finished the cast and crew commentaries from the season one blu ray.
2: Michele Fairly has sexy arms and a sexier voice.
That is all.

Plural deleted scenes, eh… Doreah killing Irri, Sandor scaring Sansa, and perhaps Dontos trying to help Sansa when Joffrey wanted her beaten up. We’ve seen stills for the first two, and according to an anonymous extra, they shot no. 3.

Just one more Qhorin scene might redeem Jon’s entire arc for me
JiubQuote Reply
I’m sure it would probably seem like over kill, but I would love just one more scene between Tywin and Arya. I vaguely recall a line from one of the [many] season 2 trailers where you hear Tywin say, “The War of Five Kings they’re calling it. Nothing matters but how it ends.” I’ve re-watched their scenes enough times to know that the latter half of that phrase wasn’t uttered in the TV show. ;)
Minuscule, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

Off-Topic:
Interesting video of a blacksmith making Jaimes sword. Am not really shure if he made the real thing, but the name Man At Arms somehow rings a bell and he says in the video that he has worked for many feature films, so he could be involved with GOT.

Saw it as well. Really highlights two things relative to markerting/Season 3 trailer:
1) HBO’s marketing focus right now is on selling DVDs on February 19th, not getting viewers hyped for 3/31. Which makes a lot of sense since there’s six weeks between the two.
2) When HBO markets to the general market as a whole (and men in particular), the ad is very simple, with some sex, a lot of violence and cool ass lines. No inside jokes. No reader hints.

Great stuff! As for deleted scenes I personally would like to see Daenerys shout “Where are my dragons!” just one more time…

They must have cut the scene where Danny says she will take what is hers with “fire and blood” … Wait what’s that? She works that line in to every single scene she has in Season 2? Even when she is hallucinating she repeats a version of this to her dead husband? Oh ok … wells I guess that doesn’t need to be a deleted scene then.
NedQuote Reply
I find it intensley irritating that there is bonus material available on blu-ray which is unavailbale on DVD. I have no interest in buying a blu-ray player or forking out the extra cash to buy blu-rays instead of DVDs. I don’t think it’s at all fair that those who purchase DVDs have less of the ‘good stuff’. Now, if it’s just a matter of space then – to an extent – fair enough. But something like deleted scenes will be of major interest to everyone, and should be available on all formats. Will be majorly peeved if they are not.
RossQuote Reply
Also, why do they have to hide the deleted scenes from us? We’re paying the 70 friggin dollars for a blu-ray copy. I just want to watch my GoT special features and relax. Not tap up down down enter up down, for a GD egg. Once you find these eggs do they stay unlocked at least?
NedQuote Reply
Well, I’m sure they will be leaked on YouTube later, along with all the other exclusive videos.
NezzerQuote Reply
Jiub,
I honestly believe Qhorin was presented less than ideally because they are giving a lot of lines and his influence on Jon to Mance instead. From an adaptation perspective it makes sense to me anyway. Which is really the rub of this adaptation for the book readers, because even some of the second tier to the most minor characters are awesome and a part of the tapestry that to remove them is a very difficult surgery because it will always have some repercussion to the narrative. While there has been some weak moments in the show on behalf of the writing/acting etc I don’t see how anyone could have been pulled off a flawless adaptation with the budget and resources they were given.

All the trailers are available on this very website, check the Media link at the top of the page. Season 1 trailer “Fear and Blood” @ 1:52.
argilac’s antlerQuote Reply
This was my thinking as well, when the Season 1 Bluray was released and everyone was complaining about no deleted scenes. Still, it could very well go unseen. Details and ideas change over the years and D&D might look at the footage and realize they need to reshoot it or scrap it altogether.

The Mary Sue has a picture of the S2 bluray package with everything on display and off to the far right are two separate discs apart from the main discs. Do you know what those are?

This is semi-unrelated, but I was watching Reign of Fire tonight… and right after the dragons torched the enclave, this little kid had a close up and im like… “thats jack mother-f@*$ gleeson”. Hah ironic that his character is all like, dragons… I need some of them.

I’m dying to know what they are!
Nick_ScryerQuote Reply
Nick_Scryer, I found one with @PurplePachyderm‘s help. It was a deleted scene with Loras and Margaery shortly after Renly’s death. Loras is mourning Renly and Margaery is trying to get him to put aside his emotions and focus on doing what is right for their house. A pretty good scene with some strong acting from Finn and Natalie. Glad we are now able to see it!

Winter Is Coming,
Sweet thanks! Can’t wait to see them all on March 4th!
Are they “Unlocked” once you watch them once or do you have to find them everytime?
Nick_ScryerQuote Reply
Nick_Scryer, you have to find them every time, I believe.
Winter Is ComingQuote Reply
Winter Is Coming,
Damn! I was hoping once you watch them they’d either be put in a new section for Deleted scenes or actually added to the episodes themselves. (unrealistic wishful thinking)
The latter would have been awesome for my re-watch later this year with my non book reader friends/family because more thrones is always good especially if it explains things even clearer for them.
Thanks again and keep looking! :P

pntrlqst, Shazam tells me it is “Mother of Dragons”. This is on disc 5 of the Blu-ray, specifically. I don’t think the other discs were any different, but I may be wrong.
