The video was pretty funny. Don’t know why it’s called “princess bride promo” but it was very funny nevertheless. Allthough the final line doesn’t make sense because in season 3 the evil prince dies and the kid finally gets his wishes

It’s “Princess Bride promo” because the scenes with the kid and his grandpa is from a film called “The Princess Bride”.
And wait, Joffrey is going to die in season 3? I thought his wedding to Margaery wasn’t going to happen until season 4.
Off topic, but ive just read that Charles Dance, Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie will appear on Jonathon Ross Show tonight at 9:20. Its about time Game of Thrones actors appear on these shows in the UK. I always wanted to see someone on The Graham Norton Show but this should be good
A bit off topic but, why is HBO giving away blu-rays and custom wooden chests to Anna Kendrick and other famous guys who have nothing to do with GoT?
The promo itself was amusing.
I think its great that this show has so many famous fans. I didnt even know Michael Kenneth Williams (who has been in two of my fave shows The Wire and Boardwalk Empire) was a fan so if Omar likes the show then it must be good :)
I think Maisie would have been great during that scene with Arya killing the Tickler so im disapointed that they killed him off early. I loved it in the books and its important part of Arya’s story so they have to have her killing people eventually. I can see them replacing Tickler with Polliver. Maybe the Hound can knock him down and Arya can ask him if he can walk before stabbing him in the neck with needle (like he did to Lommy). I really hope they dont whitewash Arya to make her more ‘likeable’ like they have done with Tyrion (they have kind of done that already. She should have killed a few people by now but they can easily make up for it. I can actually see fans loving her even more once she starts killing people. When they eventually have her go to Braavos, Maisie will be older and her killing people wont be as big a deal as it would be if they did it now (kind of like Hit Girl in the trailer for the sequel, Chloe Moretz looks much older so it doesnt have the same impact as the her killing and swearing in the first film)
This tickled me. The Princess Bride is my favorite movie of all time and I love Thrones. I thought the impressive clergyman’s voice at the end of this clip was hilariously appropriate.

They can have her and the Hound recaptured by Polliver in season 4 and experience some more torture scenes with the gold and the village and have a big escape scene where Arya does her thing and the Hound gets wounded and what not. But it still won’t be the same. Maybe she could do it to a Frey?
Yeah they might do that, or they could use The Tickler friend/assistant who helped him with the tortures but i dont think fans would remember/recognise him. I know it sounds weird but i just really want to see Arya killing people :)

I totally agree. RW should be her tipping point, and there the killing spree should begin.
Is anyone else getting frustrated about how every single article about this season seems to try and figure out a way to almost-but-not-quite spoil the RW? I feel like every non-book reader has by now figured out that some huge characters are going to die by this point and it will greatly diminish the impact…
Seriously, Jack Gleeson is so memorably, perfectly hate-able as Joffrey. Has he ruined his whole career? Can anyone see him in any other role? Bela Lugosi was never anyone else except Dracula. Type cast much?
Nymeria Stark: It’s “Princess Bride promo” because the scenes with the kid and his grandpa is from a film called “The Princess Bride”.

Ah I see. I didn’t know this film so that makes sense.
As for the rest I think it makes a lot of sense to end the season with the PW. I have to say it is a bit soon after the RW (which we know is in ep9) but I’m pretty sure D&D will want to end this season with a big hook at the end like seasons 1 and 2 and if that hook is not the RW it must be the PW. I mean can you think of a better way to end the season? They would finally give the viewers what they’ve been hoping for to happen for three seasons but also end it with a huge cliffhanger as they’re favorite character Tyrion is suddenly in very serious trouble I think it’s the perfect ending to season 3 and the writers would be mad not to use it.
Try and watch it at your earliest convenience – it is a truly brilliant film. The effects are quaint and dated now but it just contains so much humour and tells such a rollicking story. Also contains some wonderful cameos by well known actors.
Inigo Montoya is one of my favourite film characters (with one of the best lines) of all time.

The First one is so true.
“Hello, my name is Arya Stark, you killed my father, prepare to die”
Yes, essentially I just repeated what was said above………

I hope the scene where arya gets needle back is like the book, “Is there gold in the village!”.

I can’t wait for the RW. I kinda wish I hadn’t have found out though by reading the books. The tv fans are going to have the shock of their life!

I don’t think it will. Arya says this line when she kills the Tickler in the books, but he’s already dead in the show. Jaqen killed him, remember?
