Here is that “In Memoriam” video from the SDCC panel
By Winter Is Coming on in Media.

The Game of Thrones panel just ended. But before it kicked off, HBO played this In Memoriam video, showcasing the many deaths from across all three seasons.

Winter Is Coming: That was funny and sad all at the same time.

    shadowassassinbabby,

The farm boy orphans were mentioned. Correct me on this, but I’m that dorky to actually have a long list not including random soldiers aka the Frey ones that Arya kills after the red wedding.

Mycah; catspaw assassin; Varly; Wallen and Stiv (who arrived w/ Osha); Vayon Poole; Kurleket, Willis Wode; Matthos Seaworth; High Septon killed during the riot; rioters attempting to assault Sansa Stark; Emmon Cuy and Robar Royce (Renly’s guards); Torrhen Karstark; Martyn Lannister and Willem Lannister (killed by Lord Karstark); Joyeuse Frey; Master Torturer aka the Skinner (killed by Ramsay Snow back when he was “The Boy”); Qotho; Mago; Prendahl na Ghezn; Mero; Selyse’s stillborn sons in jars.

    Queenofthorns,

yep. i should have beefed up the #NOONEUNDERSTAAAANDS quotient.

    Heather,

right. they were referenced in the vid as “farm boys” because that’s how they’re referenced in the show. in the books it’s the miller’s sons who are killed, so i was making a [bad] joke about the adaptation error, i mean choice. the vid was show-correct.

it was a faux Angry GoT Fan-type complaint, poorly executed on my part.

    that’s a good list.

does wendel manderly not get included because he was seen but not named on the show?

This is why I love the showrunners: Boyz II Men?! These two are seriously cheeky. They know how uptight the fandom can be but throw all this cool stuff in a tongue-in-cheek way. They know what’s up.

That said, can we have Boyz II Men do “The Dornishman’s Wife” for Season IV?!

    “THE NORTH REMEMBERS.” CHILLS.

    John,

Lord Hoster Tully was a character that the first time we see him, he’s already dead à la Lord Jon Arryn.
    shadowassassinbabby,

No Ser Wendel Manderly since in TV series, he comes as a random soldier killed at the Red Wedding and there were tons of those.

I guess another missing one is the tortured prisoner at Harrenhal who was killed by that rat. Also all those Riverlands knights and Mountain clansmen (including the one that Tyrion stabs to death a shield after he was going to take Catelyn’s life).

Great mixture of funny and sad in this video, and a touching and fitting tribute to all the actors and extras that have entertained us for the past 3 years (?!?!?!? wow has it been that long already?!?!?!?) I am soo glad I got to read the books and see this show and be part of this community!
