HBO invites one and all to Roast Joffrey
By Winter Is Coming on in Humor, Marketing.

Do you hate King Joffery with a passion? Want to give him a piece of your mind? Well now you can in the first ever internet roast. HBO has invited everyone to participate in Roast Joffrey, an online roast of the Westerosi ruler everyone loves to hate, held across the many different social media platforms available today. You can roast the boy king with a trenchant tweet, a vicious Vine, an insulting Instagram or a fierce Facebook post. Just be sure you tag your roast with the #RoastJoffrey hashtag. All the roasts will be collected and displayed on RoastJoffrey.

The event lasts for the next 2 days and HBO has promised some roasts from other Game of Thrones cast members as well as celebrity fans during that time. So keep an eye on RoastJoffrey.com or the hashtag #RoastJoffrey to enjoy the skewering of ole Joff, or better yet, get some shots in yourself!

And the first video roast comes from….Hodor! (Kristian Nairn, in season 4 get-up.)

Next we hear from Joffrey’s formal personal bodyguard, the Hound (Rory McCann):

Maisie Williams takes a swing at the king next:

If you cover awards, you should also mention when Game of Thrones is not nominated for major awards. Just for the purpose of information so that fans know what’s going on. The big story today in the television world was the Globe nominations, but there’s no mention of it here. It’s worth making a post so that the SAG and Emmy success is in context.

    John G.,

The Golden Globes are a joke. They in no way are interested in rewarding quality. Or do you really think ‘Downton Abbey’ and ‘Masters Of Sex’ are more deserving than ‘Game Of Thrones’ and ‘Boardwalk Empire’? This is the same awards show that nominated Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp for their work in ‘The Tourist’. The same show that gave Jeff Daniels best actor in a drama series over Bryan Cranston and nominated ‘The Newsroom’ for best drama.

‘Game Of Thrones’ was nominated for The Emmy’s(most nominations for a TV series),The Critics Choice(won best drama), and The Screen Actors Guild(Their peers). All of those carry more weight than The Golden Globes.

Hehe, Roasting Joffrey! What good fun. I took to the Twitterverse. Here’s my contributions.

–How does Joffrey like his women? Apparently full of holes.

–Joffrey is the kind of guy you’d like to run into–with your sword.

–When Joffrey dies they’ll bury him face down. So he can see where he is going.

–Joffrey never hits a woman when she’s down –he shoots her.

–Joffrey gets carried away with his own self-importance. Just not far enough away from Westeros.

–Success hasn’t changed Joffrey one bit. He’s still the same prick he was before.

    Tyrion Pimpslap,

I agree. Perhaps the GG snub is in reaction to all the talk about the RW being so shocking, etc., but, if so, they are completely ignoring the performances outside of that episode. NCW, Gwen, Charles Dance, Maisie, Sophie, Michelle Fairley, even Peter Dinklage gave great performances outside of that episode. The depth of great performances in GoT is mind-boggling! What the heck are their criteria? I love The Good Wife, but I don’t know about a nomination for best drama over GoT. Not the same league.

    Tyrion Pimpslap,

Trust me, I am more than familiar with HFPA and its dubious reputation. One of its 80 members this season was overheard telling Leonardo DiCaprio that she loved him in “Out of the Furnace.” And you think Depp’s “The Tourist” nod was shameful? They nominated him the same year for “Alice in Wonderland” as well!

I’ll also posit that the Emmys aren’t exactly guardians of quality either. They repeatedly award bottom-of-the-barrel shows such as The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, and Two and a Half Men. Remember, this group ALSO gave Jeff Daniels best actor in a drama series over Bryan Cranston. And it’s arguable that despite all this, both the Globes and Emmys actually rank ABOVE the “Critic’s Choice Award” (the BTJA) in credibility! I won’t disparage the SAG today, though.

However, if Winter is Coming wants to cover awards, they need to include coverage of the major groups (Emmy, Globe, and SAG I’d say) no matter the outcome. You can guarantee that there would be a post about the Globes if Game of Thrones had been nominated. The writers here can include whatever disclaimers they like, but it’s in the interest of information that readers of Winter is Coming’s awards coverage are given the full context.

    Ashara D,

It’s nothing new. They didn’t nominate GOT last year either. You have to understand that the Hollywood Foreign Press is a small group of voters who are mostly interested in having stars who will show up to their event. GOT is a very popular show, but it really doesn’t have any stars, other than Dinklage.

Awards are nice, recognition is great, but each one of us Sullied and UnSullied appreciates GoT for different reasons. Some will still detest it even if it does win major awards. I’m just thankful it’s there, to debate, berate and celebrate.

Yes, Winter should do a post about the Golden Globes. It sucks that GoT was left-out, but it’s definitely worth posting about. Family, Duty, Hodor,

Maybe, maybe he misunderstood D&D when they said they’re beginning to work on season 5, maybe something else… What’s for sure is that the writers would never be able to finish mapping, planning and writing what is (according to them) going to be their toughest season from a writing standpoint in such a short time all the whole having to deal with the intense production schedule of season 4. Going by last year, GRRM only turned in his episode for season 4 a couple of weeks into season 3, which means the scripts will only be done in a very long time.

Yes, you’re completely right. I simply posted what I read without any critical thought.

Now that Season 4 has finished shooting, D&D will just be entering their write up phase (assuming they haven’t rewarded themselves with a well-deserved break). So as you say, maybe Iain got confused and that is what he is referring to.

Oh, heck no. Most likely, they have been doing S4 post-prod for the past 2 months and preparing that S4 teaser/trailer we want to see! They’ve probably got a semi-detailed outline of their S5 approach by now but S4 is their prime directive still. GRRM announced that he finished his S4 script in early April of this year, so I assume the formal scripts are prepared between Jan & Mar of each year.

As Jentario mentioned previously, we discussed this before because of our concerns about TWoW and S6. If S6 scripts are started in Jan 2015, then TWoW (or an internal preview of TWoW) must be provided by Nov 2014 for the S6 outline to be done. Aaaagggghhhhhh!

I don’t work in the industry, but it is an open secret that you pretty much don’t get recognized by the big awards if you don’t have someone, who suggest you for them (directly or indirectly). The exact procedure is a little bit clouded sometimes, but for the Emmys for insistence, suggestion (or to be more clear, submission) is a necessity.

And that’s what good about movies, they are supposed to cut the redundant bits instead of making what could have been a great two hour movie into one more stretched than Wyman Manderly’s underwear. The book should have been one movie, anyway. Splitting LOTR makes sense as a 1000 page book, but splitting a 300 page book into three seems ridiculous to me. What are they doing in the third one, anyway?

Hmm, I’ve had a thought. Maybe all this Joffrey roasting is building up to the release of a trailer this Sunday.

(The blind optimism of a sweet summer child)

On the Hobbit: Yes, I think it’s bloated as three movies, and it really should have been only two. Stylistically, I would have preferred a more whimsical feel, like the book, as opposed to the attempt to be epic (which only really suits The Lord of the Rings).

    Family, Duty, Hodor,

We’ll NOT have a trailer till February the best we can get this month is some footage in the HBO Yearender video and/or The In-Production video, I’m really skeptical for the last one to be honest, They could’ve released it just before the Season Finale of Boardwalk Empire but they didn’t, I’m expecting to have it in early January just before the Series Premiere of True Detective.

I can be wrong but I’m almost sure it’s going that way, The #RoastJoffrey thing is a filler to make the wait shorter.

Lol yeah, the sad truth is that I didn’t really believe that, although I suppose a teaser is possible.

One thing I’m interested in Season 4 is whether we will get any more hints towards the possibility that Tywin was poisoned prior to being murdered by Tyrion and whether it was Oberyn or Varys who was responsible. Also, I’d like to know what the hell Varys was up to at that time and the extent of his role in Tyrion killing Tywin (and indeed Shae). There are a lot of mysteries there that may never be resolved!

Yep, saw “The Hobbit The Desolation Of Smaug” at an advanced screening on Thursday, and I liked it. From the “big” movies this year I liked this and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” the best, together with “The Wolverine” and “Elysium”.

I liked “An Unexpected Journey”, but found this second installment to be better overall. Sure it isn’t perfect, but the pacing, the action even the special effects are better realized. I don’t know the movie felt tighter, as if Jackson found his rythm after stumbling a bit out of the starting block. Plus this time around I made sure to avoid that awful High Frame bullshit, which made for a terrible first viewing last year when I say “An Unexpected Journey”. It was 3D, but it was well done and thus an allright experience. Next viewing 2D.

Oh yeah and me likeeeee Tauriel!!!! She-Elf bad ass!!! Added bonus, she is Canadian so even better…the second Canadian on this project after Howard Shore.

And of course congrates to Emilia for getting the Sarah Connor role, and of course working with Alan Taylor once again.

You guys do realize that we’ll now have two Sarah Connors on GoT. Lena played Sarah Connor in the TV series “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, a show that ended up a casualty of low ratings, but I particularly liked. Lena made for a very credible Sarah, even more so than Linda Hamilton in some aspects. Lena can play though very convincingly, just watch “The Purge” and “Dredd” if you don’t believe me…Now we have Emilia joining the Terminator franchise also.

With Emilia’s petite stature and frame, I’ll be interested in the spin she’ll put on the role. But congrats nontheless….

    That Stark boy,

Geez… I really hope people would stop bitching about those things all time… And to be honest, it’s amazing how many casting directors and drama teachers seem to be lurking on the internet, ready to determine, who out of X people is the better actor. I have a pretty good knowledge about the movie and TV landscape and some of my friends and acquaintances are actors or film makers/theater directors , but would I say I am up to the task to answer the question if actor A or actor B is superior? The answer is almost all the time: Hell no!
There is a reason why casting director is an actual job. For most people it’s not enough to see an actor in a couple of movies and/or a TV series to determine his/her talent. Not to mention the fact that a mediocre actor can be perfect for a specific role and vice versa.

I’m not familiar with the book (saw the cartoon a while ago tho) so I’m curious what was added that you thought was cringeworthy. If you’re referring to the Laketown politics and the love triangle, I would agree.

I am lost as to why they took a story with one protagonist and decided to add four more. Gandalf’s storyline seems completely separate from the plot, I don’t care a damn about Bard, and Thorin’s added scenes added nothing to the story for me. They are all much better as supporting characters in Bilbo’s story versus becoming protaginists that crowd out Bilbo.

All I know is Gandalf was added (it was based on source material in a different book) just because he dissapeared for no reason in the books and then just came back out of nowhere (I haven’t read the book but this was what I heard how it went). So they added this subplot also to give more background on Sauron and how he came back in the lord of the rings. But I am quite sure this will eventually have something to do with the dragon and the mountain.

And I think it’s great they made Thorin a protagonist I think it’s an interesting character that gives us atleast something different then just hobbits. I kinda like that he is more grey then Bilbo is for instance.

    Davy,

I sure hope it eventually has something to do with the dragon and the mountain. But the Gandalf story still doesn’t seem to be connected to the main plot, or pushing this ridiculously bloated story forward, so I was frustrated watching those scenes. And I don’t want to wait for another movie to sense it’s relevance to Bilbo’s story. I want to enjoy a movie for what it is by itself, outside the context of the rest of the trilogy. I think the first two LotR movies did a good job of building up to satisfying conclusions within the larger, as-yet-incomplete trilogy. Not only does this movie fail to do that, but it’s almost trying not to. Each of the three storylines (Bilbo/Thorin, Gandalf, and Bard) ended on some of the cliffiest of cliffhangers, and are preoccupied more with spilling into the next movie than giving a satisfying conclusion to the movie I have just spent THREE HOURS watching. This seems particularly odd since the main adaption problem I see (based on the cartoon) is the climax with the dragon occurring before the climax of the general story. I thought the one advantage of multiple movies would be to handle one climax in one movie, and then build up to the big battle in the other. Oh well, guess they’ll handle both in the same movie now.

On Thorin: 1, I didn’t buy his greyness the way I bought, say, Boromir’s greyness in LotR. 2, I’m fine with a grey character, as long as they aren’t stealing the story from the protagonist. Again, comparing to Boromir, who was a compelling character who added a lot to his movie without stealing protagonist-standing from either Frodo or Aragorn.

That reference went way over my head.

Was that the bear guy? (How obvious is it that I haven’t read the Hobbit?) To me he was in that Bombidal category of characters who are potentially interesting, but don’t add anything to the plot. After him the movie picked up though…before slowing the f–k down again so that it doesn’t accidentally conclude the story in a satisfactory way before it’s grabbed more money from my pocket.

The HBO Year in review video has 5 new shots of season 4. The first is the champion of Meereen charging on his horse with a spear at either Daario,Greyworm, or Selmy(my guess is Daario) with Dany and the Unsullied standing behind him with a huge cliff overlooking them. The second is of Tyrion being lead into the throne room in shackles. The third is of Joffrey at his wedding feast looking all kingly wearing his crown. The fourth, and my favorite, is Jaime in the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard’s solar with the White Book, shorter hair, and a golden hand. The last one is Sansa at what looks to be a new set at the Eyrie.

Sorry All – HBO hasn’t posted the Happy Holiday promo yet. Just have to be lucky enough to catch it between certain programs. They aren’t running it in every break. Maybe it will be up by end of day today. It went by so quickly, I missed a couple of the shots so watching for it again today. Maybe they will post S4 photos soon because they did last year when the Holiday promo went out.

Do you have the date because I have notated the date of 12/3/12 for the picture of Dany standing in front of the Unsullied. I used this for a screensaver last year but maybe I pulled it from another source than hbo.com.

Tyrion Pimpslap: The HBO Year in review video has 5 new shots of season 4.

I’ve been scouring the ‘net for screencaps. No luck . Typical GoT junkie :P

I hated Daario in the books, but that may have more to do with the way he is described as looking and the fact that Daenerys’ fawning over him made her chapters in ADWD unbearable. But looking back, is Daario really that bad, especially for a sellsword? He has proved loyal to Dany to this point. I think the show will make him much more tolerable and will build a legitimate relationship between him and Daenerys that will make people understand why she would want to be with him.

I have been watching it too since I knew Ducksauce was on it – and he proved to be the most interesting character so far, along with Westenra – I really haven’t noticed the sound inbalance you mean, but that’s just cause I try to only pay attention to the story on those shows. If I get too technical about how things are going I just stop watching them. They have this kind of Vampire Diaries ambient/dialogue/scenery thingy that is just not my cup of tea. And it is not just because both series are because of vampires. Game of Thrones in the other hand is a feast. I can get technical about, emotional about, it doesn’t matter, it gives me goosebumps almost each episode.

Hmm. Haven’t considered that, and it would make sense considering they stuck the PW in episode 2 and they haven’t done any of the Dontos set up yet but it could easily screw things up considering Sansa was a prime suspect too, in the books.

  266. Tyrion Pimpslap
    Posted December 15, 2013 at 2:57 pm | Permalink

If it is Sansa then they REALLY changed things up. What we know is that Sansa is with Littlefinger in the Vale. Tyrion’s trial likely wouldn’t start until episode 4, at the earliest. Putting aside the fact that Sansa wouldn’t be arrested, how is she going to escape with Dontos(confirmed for s4), sail to the Vale, and have the stuff go on there if she is still in KL in episode 4 or 5?

  267. That Stark boy
    Posted December 15, 2013 at 2:57 pm | Permalink

    Greenjones,

As Littlefinger presents her as Alayne, I doubt he would do this. It seems to me like the show’s strategy to make her look more like Cat to present LF’s relationship with Sansa before Alayne is officially presented to the Lords of the Vale. How she looks like Cat, and that stuff. It would not make much sense if Littlefinger presented Cat #2 (?) to the Eyrie. And Brienne will also be asking about a certain auburn-haired maid of four and ten.

EDIT: Sorry, I reread your comment and it looks like that is not what you wanted to say.

  268. Tyrion Pimpslap
    Posted December 15, 2013 at 3:01 pm | Permalink

And why would Sansa be sitting with the Tyrells? I suppose it’s possible, but I just don’t see how they will get to the Vale and start up that whole storyline with such few episodes. Sansa not being arrested I can somewhat understand, as her being a suspect had more to do with her fleeing.

Tyrion Pimpslap: e to do with the way he is described as looking and the fact that Daenerys’ fawning over him made her chapters in ADWD unbearable. But looking back, is Daario really that bad, especially for a sellsword? He has proved loyal to Dany to this point. I think the show will make him much more tolerable and will build a legitimate relationship between him and Daenerys that will make people understand why she would want to be with him.

He’ll be her betrayal for gold. I really hope they have Ser Barry fight the champion. The public needs to know how awesome Ser Barry is. But it will probably be Daario the Uninteresting :’(

Wow the Tyrion and Sansa pics are pretty spoilery. She’s wearing a travelling robe and he’s in shackles. Even the most unspoiled people would understand what’s going on there. But I guess they need to make people go crazy with the theories and by the looks of things, they’re succeeding.
BTW, that’s definitely not Sansa in the Tyrion screencap. They’re already complicating things by not dying her hair, they won’t be able to explain why she’s sitting so unconcerned while her husband is being accused of kingslaying – surely some will think she knew about his plans, she’s his wife after all – and why Brienne and Jaime didn’t do anything to help her while she was near them and waited until she was gone. It will just mess up too many things. She does appear in the Joffrey one though, wearing a lovely purple dress. How fitting…

Yeah, because nothing spells badass better than wading waist deep through shit. The duel should be fought by Ser Barristan or Ser Jorah. But they violated canon already by making Daario actually a good fighter (in the books we don’t know anything about his prowess. I personally believe he’s more talk than skill). I mean seriously why do they have Ian even there? Aside from the scene in season 1 that that Stark boy linked he could have been replaced by any other one note character or Ser Jorah. The way they used Barristan during the sack in Yunkai was proposterous. He didn’t fight and he wasn’t even focused on protecting Dany. He was drinking a cup of wine for fucks sake! They need to show the public that Ser Barristan is the real deal and not a useless old man.

    1) Welcom to the cinematic medium, where fights can be staged. Honestly, what a stupid argument.

    2) The point is that at this point in the books we don’t even know if Daario’s any good. Daario is an over the top sleeze bag in the books and the only character in ASOIAF that pretty much completely failed to deliver. One of the only good things about Daario is that we don’t know if he can put his money where his mouth is, but it seems fitting for the douchebag character he is that he’s actually no more than average (which btw would be totally hilarious Dany pining for the great warrior Daario only to have him beat down with ease by Big Vic Greyjoy or Ser Barristan Selmyor Ser Jorah or BBP or …

    3) Welcome to the new millenium.

Abyss: Anyway, that’s something of which someone like D87 might no more about. ;-)

Sorry: I didn’t see this until today. The Emmys allow self-nomination (and your choice of categories), then all of those who work in those categories (directors for directors, etc.) vote. Top five/six vote-getters are the “nominees.” Then I believe all members of the Academy vote for the winner, based on screeners sent out in advance.

There is a small kerfuffle among some who think that the CGI-heavy film nominees get short shrift by being seen on voters’ small-screen home systems rather than in theatres (although there are limited big-screen screenings in Hollywood).

    Hope that helps.

    facelessarya,
Yeah! The pillars are rather snowy now that I see. It also explains her clothes. Nevermind the brown hair. Most fanarts depicting that scene kept her auburn hair. I suppose it isn’t a big deal. Now I’m really convinced they kept it. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lqg50ag4Au1r22woko1_500.jpg

    Veltigar,

A character can be badass in many ways. I’m guessing Pimpslap is saying those characters are intellectually badasses because they own shit by making movies mostly behind the scenes as if they were a chess player and Westeros was their chessboard.

I’m speaking of badassness in the more traditional sense.

The badass I am talking about, if you looked it up In the dictionary, you’d see a picture of Riddick… =P

Family, Duty, Hodor: n many ways but he’s certainly an excellent fighter. I don’t see how that can even be up for debate.

As for Barristan, I too would have enjoyed it more if he were the challenger. I’m still hoping we’ll get some badass scenes of him when he captures Hizdahr and during the battle of Meereen. Camera tricks should hopefully make up for the actor’s age.

The jury is still out on that. He’s certainly not a bad fighter, you can see that I never claimed that, but imo it’s still very unclear where he ranks. I think he’s average, given the fact that we haven’t seen him fight yet and the general air of overconfidence, sleeziness and cockiness that comes with the character. When he pulls out his (metal) sword in earnest in tWoW against a character like Victarion, Ser Barristan, Ser Jorah, etc. he’ll be feeding the worms pretty quickly. It would be hilarious to see Dany’s dangerous warrior go down like that.

As for Barristan, they should use him. He’s one of the best characters in the books imo. Not just because he’s a badass but because he’s a deep character (his struggle with age). The show viewers lack the namedrops about him and since Mero was killed by Daario he couldn’t display his ability there. They should show quickly that he’s the best fighter Dany has, despite his age.

Oh, and as I said on the other, older, thread, rumor has it that the GGs are trying to carve out a territory among the plethora of award-a-thons by recognizing relatively new talent; fewer shows in Seasons 3,4, and later are getting the nod from the GG voters. They have always been swayed by those stars who make a tentative promise to show up for the televised awards show that is the Hollywood Foreign Press’s only claim to fame, and I don’t believe GOT filming and promotion for the still-relatively unknown cast fit into the GG award show schedule .

    That Stark boy,

I was a bit sad about the hair not being dyed. I think it was an integral part of Sansa’s transformation into Alayne, becoming someone else and leaving Sansa Stark behind. But they could still dye her hair… maybe farther into her time in the Eyrie? It just seems stupid for her to not have a disguise… everyone notices the Tully features and the hair’s a dead give away next to Lysa…

I love that fanart! So pretty :)

Aye, I also keep to the more traditional definition.

But Riddick will soon be removed from the dictionary in favor of Roddy the Ruin from the new GRRM novella the Princess and the Queen.

Veltigar: 1) Welcom to the cinematic medium, where fights can be staged.

    1) “Staged” or not, the actor would still have to execute the choreography. And he is 65 freaking years old.

    2) Yep, sure.. the leader of a bunch of mercenaries is “just all talk”.

“the only character in ASOIAF that pretty much completely failed to deliver”

    Would you care to elaborate?

    3) Hmmm.. what?

Compared to your brilliant posts? Such as:

“I must admit, when I first saw pictures of him as Jaime I wasn’t happy because I always pictured Jaime as a civilized Kholo Drogo (Jason Momoa) type, in knights armor instead of a barbarian outfit.”

Basically, all of your posts are about “muscles”, “abs”, “badass”, “vikings”.. you sure are a great contributor..

No, actually it doesn’t really look like her hair color in the promo…it looks digitally enhanced, which means to me that it probably *is* brown and they are actually going along with the books.

    Lef,

I got to hand it to you that was great research and you are correct I love warrior types and usally warrior types, due to their lifestyle, are in great shape.

    What’s the issue with that?

Well I’ll continue to talk about what I like and dislike on all things related to GoT (including warriors with muscles) and you can continue talking about me.

Lef: d Quentyn got themselves killed.

    1) Ian McElhinney is a professional, he’s more than capable of pulling that off. And even if he’s not there are things like body doubles, CGI, etc. It’s not a problem that the actor is 65.

    2) Lol, you’re not serious right… The most important talents of a mercenary captain are striking a good deal and knowing when to call it a day. A mercenary captain is not required to be among the best of the company to command his forces or are you suggesting that Harry Strickland is the best of the GC? Or BBP of the Second Sons? Don’t get me wrong, it certainly helps to be a good fighter, but it is not necessary. And again the fact remains that we haven’t seen Daario fight yet. Sure, he delivered those two heads but you don’t seriously think that he fought them both honorably do you?
as a character he failed to deliver because he was just to over the top (sadly a recurring problem in GRRM Essos). He was intended to be the Essosi bad boy, someone we know is not good for Dany, but we still see why she’s attracted to him. Sadly, we wound up with someone who’s basically an Essosi equivalent to the entire male cast of “the Jersey Shore” (although that’s probably to much of an insult towards the Jersey shore people).
I mean GRRM gave him blue hair, ridiculous swords, golden teeth (and didn’t he paint his moustache as well?), flamboyant outfits, a sleezy attitude towards women and a bad character. It’s just overkill. He should have kept the bad character and one of the other things from this list (I’d say the ridiculous swords or the golden teeth) and added some charm into the mix. Perhaps, Dany’s early ADWD chapters wouldn’t be so painful to read then.

    3) The word badass is a widely used word in internet culture. Learn to live with it. :p

I think you miss my point. The digital alteration to auburn would be *just for the promo* and just to prevent spoiling the non-readers… who would quickly figure out that Sansa with dyed hair is Sansa in witless protection.

    Tyrion Pimpslap,

When Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1′s trailer was released, they had to alter Hermione’s bloody hands – clean it up digitally – so the trailer could be viewed by younger audiences and be featured earlier in the day on the TV. Is just an example on how they could just alter a scene instead of omitting it. I don’t think altering Sansa’s hair did cost a lot of money, though. It is just one second and it could have been made on Photoshop (if they altered the whole season, it would certainly be costly). Sansa doesn’t even move too much. You can see her hair is way more brown than her usual fiery color. I agree with Cary.

    That Stark boy,

That gives me an incredible amount of hope. I remember being confused when Hermione’s hands were bloody in the movie during a rewatch after seeing trailers where they weren’t. Or they put gloves on her, I can’t remember. Makes me think maybe they’ll keep the brown hair. Sophie’s hair does look oddly red/rusty in the promo.
