GOT Arya Stark

GOT Robb Stark

GOT Cersei Baratheon

MILWAUKIE, OR, FEBRUARY 10 – The epic HBO® series Game of Thrones has won worldwide success and a legion of fans. This audience is clamoring for unique collectibles and merchandise, and Dark Horse has been working with HBO Global Licensing to provide just that. A core item in the Game of Thrones program is the ongoing series of high-quality, affordable, molded-plastic figures of the most in-demand characters.

Building on the success of the previously announced lineup, five new figures will debut to the trade in February at the International Toy Fair, held at Jacob Javits Center in New York.

The nonarticulated figures represent a moment in time from the show, perfectly capturing each character’s true personality. Each figure measures approximately 7.5 inches tall and is based on the likeness of the respective actors. Figures slated for a July 2014 release include Cersei Baratheon, Arya Stark, Robb Stark, Jaime Lannister, and the White Walker. The suggested retail price for each figure is $24.99. “The Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen figures were snapped up by the fans, and the April releases are already highly anticipated,” Dark Horse Product Development head David Scroggy remarked. “We will continue to make these nonarticulated figures, in order to capture all of the small details that would be at risk in a traditional jointed action figure. No corners have been cut in achieving realism and faithfulness to the HBO series.”

The Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen figures are available in stores now. Tyrion Lannister, Khal Drogo, and Ned Stark will arrive in early April, just in time for the Game of Thrones season 4 debut.

Just like the past releases, these figures will be presented in deluxe window-box packaging, the graphic design of which further underscores the aesthetic of the HBO series.

An additional group of five premium figures in this ongoing program is in the preproduction prototype stage, with a tentative release date of November 2014.

    Valyrian Plastic,

As the exclusive supplier, can you confirm whether or not these are made of Valyrian plastic?

Who else wants to buy the Jaime and Cersei figures and make them kiss?

I swear I know nothing, I just like making Lego GoT models!

Edit: And on that note, if Lego even made sand red bricks any more, I’d so order them by the bucketload and build my own Red Keep!

Doing faces in plastic can be difficult, but from the neck down they are great.

There should be a Hodor figure that comes with a Bran figure that fits on to his back.

They should release one of those dolls which is only the head and shoulders and when you push a button it makes the hair grow, but give it Bran’s face ;).

Or even better, a Hodor talking doll. Pull the string to hear all his memorable phrases :).

Arya looks like she needs to take a shit XD

And Cersei looks manlier than Jaime! That face XD

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room (exception if you are fighting in order to get Mads Mikkelsen cast as Euron)

That Cersei is awesome! Definitely getting that one. There’s one more that isn’t pictured here, a white walker. The Ned Stark one looks great too.

I heard there was a Dany one but it was scrapped due to the mold being too whitewashed.

What better way to shine your armour than to rest your sword upon it? I mean, who actually uses scabbards nowadays?

I like that these are finally coming out, but I wish NECA had the license. Maybe it’s just the picture angle, but Robb looks like a dwarf from LOTR. Either the body is too small or the head is too big, I can’t tell which. And Arya looks like Chang from Community.

The others are fairly decent though. The HBO store has the Dany and Jon Snow ones all ready. These will probably be there pretty soon.

Yeah good point, it doesn’t look like he’s about to swing it in a fight or anything. He’s just rocking out with his sword out.

    Myrish Swampert,

These would be inaction figures (statues). They are solid with no articulation. The upcoming 6″ Funko Legacy line contains traditional articulated action figures. So far, it looks like neither line bothered with sizing up the white walker to reflect the proper scale with the others.

For everyone who is into that kind of stuff (I don’t), this youtube channel has a pretty good analysis of five of the figures. I assume there will be more later down the line.
