Charitybuzz and David Benioff offer a trip to the set of Game of Thrones Season 5
By Lightbringer on in General.

Charitybuzz is in the habit of making dreams come true while making a difference with their online charity auctions, and they’re about to make some Game of Thrones fans very happy.

Ballintoy Harbour of Northern Ireland transforms into Dragonstone for Game of Thrones Season 4

Currently up for auction, and generously donated by David Benioff, is a trip to the set of Game of Thrones Season 5 in Northern Ireland. The winning bidder will be one of the first to see the drama unfold before their eyes, and as an added bonus will get to spend one hour with Thrones co-creator David Benioff. (Plenty of time to squeeze spoilers out of him!)

So if you happen to be free between August and November and have a few Gold Dragons laying around, head over to Charitybuzz to place your bid. Bidding will close Wednesday, April 30, and will benefit the Epic Theatre Ensemble.

Charitybuzz Announces Game of Thrones Set Visit Auction

“Valar morghulis” is the tagline for this season of “Game of Thrones,” which makes perfect sense now that there’s an opportunity to battle to the death (online only, of course) for a visit the set in Northern Ireland. On the heels of holding yet another bloody wedding, co-creator David Benioff and HBO are auctioning – for the first time ever online – the chance to go on location during filming and see what’s in store for the (remaining) characters before anyone else.

The winner will watch the struggle for the Iron Throne unfold firsthand when they tour Westeros and get a sneak peek of the highly anticipated fifth season (filming from August to November this year) from Benioff himself. While touring the set Benioff may even share some trade secrets about his vision for the next two seasons.

I’ll go and convince them to keep both the Iron Islands and Dornish plot lines :-)

It’ll be too late to cast Mads as Euron, but you may be able to get in a word in edgewise about Doran and Quentyn? :D

Ser Arthur Dan. I will now forever more imagine Lt. Dan as Sir Arthur Dane. I thank you, ser. (I think.)

I would love to do this. Time for me to take a big loan out from my bank. And for my bank to learn that a Family, Duty, Hodor never pays his debts.

So basically, a wealthy fan gets to go.

What about us poor people in flea bottom, never catching a break :/ *huddles closer to fire, cries quietly*

They would make more money for the charity if $50 donations were received from the fans and they drew the winner from a dragon horn. Fans could enter multiple bids if they wanted to….and it would allow more people a chance to win this dream vacation.

Thank you, Ser! I would do the same if I had the chance. Alas, there are no Lannister-like accounts in this household either.

    Hodor’s Bastard,

I’d have enough for a few entries to THAT contest! Perhaps they can keep this idea on the shelf just in case HBO stops upping the budget each year. Or to fund a Season 8. ;D

The chance of me donating to this charity is proportionate to Stannis’ chance of winning the Game by the end of the series.

Me on the season 5 set:

“Is this the set for Dorne?! Is this the set for Dorne?! Is she cast as Arianne?!”
    “No, that’s our producer…”
“Is that… Not Mads Mikkelsen in the distance?!”
“Yes, he was cast as Euron.”

Wow I would love this, but I am so poor :(. Anyway, whomever wins, talk Benioff into doing Dorne and maybe explain to him what Stannis is really about.

No Euron, no Doran, no AFFC filler trash!

I say let Cogman write the story as he wants, where some action actually happens.

    Ser Dosser,

Why would Cogman have anything happen? He is always faithful to the book.

    Ser Dosser,

Aeron Damphair is Cogman’s favorite character,so I don’t think that would be the best idea if you want most of Feast to be cut.

There will be no kingsmoot, im sure HBO has good screenwriters that can write something action packed and intresting for season 5.

    AFFC/DWD is no TV material.

This is the perfect opportunity for the book purists to infiltrate the set and whine directly to the people responsible for the show. It’s certainly better than whining here. Come on, maesters, loosen up your pockets.

Also, the person who wins this is probably gonna be the first who will witness plot-lines from WOW. Now, how is that for an ‘average fan’?
