Excited for Oberyn’s scene this ep :D

Not excited for stalling at the Wall

Curious about Daario… is that about going to the Lhazareen to set up trade and economy or… killing everyone like a red wedding

Wise choice for the photo ;-)

Uncle Henry Skinner: You’ll come to see that a man learns nothing from winning. The act of casting Mads Mikkelsen as Euron, however, can elicit great wisdom. Not least of which is, uh… how much more enjoyable it is to cast him as Euron. It’s inevitable to lose now and again. The trick is not to make a habit of it.

They did zero set up for a replacement Marillion. I guess there’s just not going to be a patsy? Will LF’s fake story be that Lysa jumped? Or that she fell in accidently?

My ears will be peeled during the Brienne and Pod scene for evidence that Lady Stoneheart will appear.

This looks like it’s going to be a good one despite the risk of Jon and Dany’s scenes being fillerish.

Are Oberyn & the Mountain going to battle it out this episode?? If we have Lysa going out the moondoor and Tyrion’s trial by battle it will be an exciting episode! That leaves the rest of the season for a possible Catelyn resurrection evidence of Bran’s destiny obviously Tyrion killing Tywin & Shae and maybe even battle at the Nightswatch with Manse Rayder but I don’t think Jon will become Lord Commander until next season maybe.

    I am a simple man…

I can’t wait to see the new Mountain!

D&D really have to build up how much of a monster The Mountain is in both stature and demeanor. I am sure a great deal of the casual TV viewer audience really does not understand to well what a monster this guy is…

Also, I want more Oberyn! Is this where the TV viewer is giving some more backstory on Oberyn and how he got his nickname?

Damn, weather is beautiful here in the east cost, family over, beer and mixed drinks and barbecue a blazing. These are the nights that life is all about, family and friends and great entertainment.

It’ll be interesting to see who “takes the fall” for Lysa’s death.

I wonder if Daario’s mission will be in response to the Sons of the Harpy. I also wonder when / how Tywin’s letters from last episode will impact Dany’s storyline. My guess is that his actions will somehow tip off Dany about Jorah’s spying, causing him to be exiled, but I also wonder if he might play some role in the Harpy unrising. The episode preview makes it pretty clear that his bounty will eventually cause the Hound to be left for dead. Small council meetings are some of my favorite scenes/chapters. lol

What do you suppose will be the tip that Brienne and Pod get? Someone reporting seeing The Hound with “the Stark girl” (maybe at the Inn from Ep. 1)? I’m sure that they’ll be cutting out a lot of her AFFC plot, but I doubt they’ll cut straight to LS.

If the name ‘Red Viper’ isn’t mentioned in the episode I will lose my shit. Well, not really, but for real D&D, how can you not bring up his nickname yet? The title of the next episode will be pointless without a name drop.

I think it will more than likely just be

an accident that has Lysa fall to her death. It seems a little foolish for then to introduce a character that wouldn’t deny being a murderer for some unknown reason. That always got me in ASoS, why the hell would the singer not just say what really happened?

Whatever letters Tywin writes seem to have some devastating effect somewhere. I wish I knew how the show ties these ones in with the Meereen storyline. Good plot point too if they take full advantage of it, especially if they cause Jorah to fall out of Khaleesi’s favor. I say you have a big point there. After all, at the small council the big thing was that Dany was advised by two knowledgeable and tried knights. Divide and conquer seems to be where Tywin’s letters are headed.

While I love each and every one of the entire cast (even new Daario is growing on me), I got emotional with two scenes: Arya & the Hound when he trusts her to stich up his neck, and Tyrion & Oberyn’s jail scene.

I am hoping Peter Dinklage for Best Actor and Pedro Pascal for Best Supporting Actor. Other awesome shows be damned! :-)

Wow, i expected alot less out of this episode (excluding the main event of course). I really really liked it alot! Especially the Scene between Oberyn and Tyrion was perfect. Bronn and Tyrion was great too. Hot Pie was a unexpected and great surprise. I found Biter’s action hilarious. So thats why they call him Biter. For the one lame move he has. :D

Oh and hearing the stark theme (snowcastle-scene) let me have goosebumbs all over the place! :)

I have to say that was one of the best episodes of GOT ever! Finally got to see Oberyn decide to be Tyrions champion and the Petyr/Lysa Moon Door scene. Can”t wait for next episode even though we have to wait an additional week which sucks.

    Tyrion Pimpslap,

How do you know you’re a nerd? When you’re watching Aidan do whatever the hell it is he’s doing and you’re whining about ‘only Cat’.

They probably changed it from “Only Cat” (I can say that without spoiler tags now, woo hoo!) to “Your sister” because they haven’t used the nickname Cat much in the show. “Only Catelyn would have been one syllable too long for the epic brevity of that line, so I think “Your Sister” worked just fine.

    Phenomenal episode.

    WTF this last scene.
A powerful scene like that shouldn’t be so overplayed by Aidan. That push was so cheesy and CGI looked cheap. Lysa actress was great, even with little screen time.

I am quite sure it was. I read the chapter a few days ago. I think a few little things about the whole stokeworth-family were missing (but who gives a shit).

Some of you people have problems. Being upset because he didn’t say “only Cat” exactly? Those two words together don’t have any more ‘power’ than “only one woman. Your sister,” before being shoved to her death. Picky :/

The only thing I didn’t like about this episode (and this is a serious reach) was that Arya’s kill shot was kind of weaksauce…

She should have poked that guy many times even as he was falling and on the ground. Make it more brutal, more GoTish.

But that’s a serious reach and I got to say this episode was amazing, god I cant wait to watch that Oberyn/Tyrion scene again, love that D&D took that story right from the books and placed it so well into the TV show… It was really moving, I actually had to fight hard not to cry like a girl.

Well, I dont know about the needle lesson, but boy, engeenering class in winterfell for sure were something!

Also… very parental kiss… just that… nothing more than parental… (Lannister, Targaryen and Craster’s wives approve this)

And for Brienne story line… that was like hundreds of pages a little rush, but i´m kind grateful for that.

Cute wolfie bread! i love it! but it´s going to be a lil hard… and wet… and bloody if she get it

Really good episode. Tons of great quotes. The Hound-Arya scenes and the Tyrion scenes were awesome.

This was also the first time I ever really felt sympathy for Lysa.

    Oh yeah!

Dany taking full advantage of her power by demanding her wildly over advancing boy toy to get naked was IMO a great scene.

Loved how Dany’s eyes beamed over his body and down to his boyparts…

I know book purists will hate it but I like that scene, was erotic and shit it turned me on a little =)

    Go Dany you bad girl!

Seeing Hot Pie was wicked cool! Arya “stickin’ ‘em with the pointy end” she never disappoints! The Monologue from the Hound was cool. :-) Oberyn is always cool! Sansa in the garden…I’ve always liked her, but from now on, Team Sansa!

    The North Remembers!♥

    Oh yeah,

And the look on Dany’s Old bear’s face… Priceless!

Such good acting without hardly any words, I felt soooo bad for Jorah! That guy LOVES Dany more then anything.

It was nice that Dany let herself be swayed by him and asked him to tell Daario that HE changed her mind. Giving him some power…

The Hound/Arya scene was awesome too!

Now we know how D&D are going to play it with The Hound being on the verge of death when Arya leaves him, because of infection from that nasty bite on his neck.

But it was another great delivery from Rory, when Arya asked if she can at least clean it, after The Hound told her about his FUCKED UP childhood, he to was on the verge of tears and the acting made you just feel it.

I made bad mama fly! Flying Lysa !!!!! Here my lady, let me show you the door…the Moon Door that is! Well you get the picture!

Definitely one of the highlights of the season…the scene between The Red Viper and Tyrion!!! Moving and intriguing, and well just amazing all around!

And I think that this is about as close we’ll ever get to seeing Little Finger’s true self …and Cat is the only one who did it…even from beyond the grave!

Great episode and a foreshadowing of things to come…Jon Snow is the man!!!! The season has been outstanding so far!!!!

    Hell Yes. Oberyn rocks!
And, man, do I love the hound now. I know the books are what they are… but I’m really deep into the show and trying to deny knowing how things turn out for different characters.
Hats off to the production. Well done. IMO.

Damn, this episode was just filled with awesome scenes, from start to finish!!!

If one fucking professional critic writes anything about “filler” I am going to go bananas! LOL!

This episode was one payoff to the next… While at the same time setting up bigger payoffs.

If they were going to change it, I would have preferred they change it to “Only Catelyn” as opposed to “Only Cat” since calling her Cat may have been confusing to Unsullied. I mean fine, whatever, Lysa took her trip out the moon door so I’m good. The deed is done. The only thing I’m confused about is how Littlefinger is going to explain this to the Lords Declarant without the presence of a patsy to pin it on.

So everyone remember how D&D said Bronn had a fight scene before the season started? Does anyone else think Jamie will fight him for betraying Tyrion? Or was this scene tonight Bronn’s exit from the show, and the “fight scene” was merely he and Jamie’s training?

I think that the scene with Oberyn and Tyrion was favorite from this episode. A very emotional scene with great dialogue and delivery. It sets up the battle between the Viper and The Mountain nicely.
