The folks over at WIC Live have released another Game of Thrones cocktail idea in a new edition of Spirits of Westeros! Last time we learned how to make Tiny Tyrion Martini and before that we learned how to make The Lavish Lannister. This time around, Jessica Kinney shows us how to toast a character on the rise as we salute Sansa Stark with the aptly named Sansagria.
We didn’t see a whole lot from Sansa Stark this season but what we did see was extremely important to her character development on the show. She went from being Joffrey’s pet to someone who is starting to get into a position of power to avenge the deaths of her loved ones and she’s growing more and more scary as the show continues.
Watch Jessica walk you through how to make a Sansagria after the jump!
Here’s all you need to make your very own Sansagria:
1 granny smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
2 navel oranges, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup frozen blackberries
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice
1/2 cup blackberry liqueur
1 cup white rum
1/3 cup spiced rum
2 cups orange juice
2 (750 milliliter) bottles white wine, chilled
1/2 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen pink lemonade conc
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
Place the oranges, lemon, lime, apple, blackberries, strawberries and pineapple chunks with juice into a large bowl. Pour the blackberry liqueur, white rum, spiced rum and orange juice over the fruit. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Next, add the wine, semi-frozen pink lemonade and lemon and lime juice. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 2 hours if you can). Before serving, add the chilled lemon-lime soda. Pour over ice in a wine glass, spooning the fruit into the glass with the liquid. Garnish with an orange and strawberry slice.
