Sophie Turner featured on Nerd HQ’s ‘A Conversation with Badass Women’ panel
By Lightbringer on in Events, Interview.

Sophie Turner was a featured guest on Nerd HQ’s A Conversation with Badass Women panel yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con. Zachary Levi hosted Sophie alongside Yvonne Strahovski, Retta, Missy Peregrym, Jennifer Morrison, and Ming-Na Wen to talk about, well, badass women!

Sophie talks about the increasing amounts of strong female roles on television, and in a very touching moment admits that her female role model is Lena Headey. Watch the entire panel below:

Sophie also stopped by the IGN Live studios for an interview. She talks about Sansa’s transformation in Season 4 to become a great manipulator, as well as her physical transformation and a very uncomfortable dress. She believes that Sansa will continue to take advantage of Littlefinger’s weakness, and admits that her favorite scenes to film are when she gets a bit beaten up.

She also popped into the Microsoft VIP Lounge, and posed for some Comic Con portraits.

The part about Lena made me tear up a bit. I knew she had a son and that she was going through some personal stuff, but hearing Sophie talk about her with such genuine respect and admiration was beyond sweet!

I adored that panel, they talked about a lot of challenging and intriguing topics and I think on the whole it was a very necessary and long-awaited type of panel. Everyone had great questions and good things to say!

Sophie never ceases to amaze me! :)

Why didn’t they ask the “Is that Cosplay?” question to the girl with the painted bandage on her face?
