In the chapter, Catelyn mentions that tansy is the name of a plant. Tansy is a plant in real life too, and its uses are the same in the world of the books as they were in real medieval times. Just a random fact.

Tansy is an herb used in moon tea, it is an abortifacient not a nickname for Lisa

Catelyn thinks it’s a name, but it’s a herb, just like others said. :) Nice to hear from you guys after so long.

Three chapters in 3.5 weeks, is that a record? ;)

Which is a good thing for me, I started re-reading Clash a day after you started Storm and was worried I wouldn’t be able to catch up soon, but now I’m halfway through and should catch up with you in a couple of weeks or so. Until then, I’m listening to your old ACOK shows.

1 chapter per week with 82 chapters is quite scary… even 2 chapters a week wouldn’t finish ASOS before season 5.
Maybe you guys should consider doing 3 chapters per episode, which would allow for once-a-week scheduling.

Thank you for the input, guys. We’re working on fitting more recording sessions into our schedules, once per week has felt kind of slow. And we’ll definitely be working more chapters in, hopefully with more episodes. There’s much to do.

Tansy is 100% absolutely not a nickname for Lysa. Just had to drop by to say that.

If I’m remembering this right, “tansy” isn’t actually ever explained in this chapter and it sort of stays a mystery, but IS explained a few chapters down the road. I think somebody goes into detail about the use of the tansy herb in making moon tea and abortions.

It’s just another one of those things in GRRM’s writing where you have to pay really close attention to and remember certain details.

    Renly’s Peach,

It’s actually gone into detail in Sansa’s last chapter (also the last chapter of the book – minus the Epilogue). Lysa reflects on it quite a bit as she rages against her niece.
