Presenting “Game of Thrones: Season 5 Episode 11, Khaleesi”

No, there isn’t an extra episode of last season, so don’t get your hopes up. But you know you wish there was. So does the band Lisbon, an outfit out of Whitley Bay in the UK. The band members have Game of Thrones fever something awful, so much so that they called their latest single “Khaleesi.” The song revolves around the eponymous dragon queen and purports to be the next installment of Season 5. There’s a music video, too—keep an eye out for a cameo from Ben Crompton (Jon Snow’s crow buddy, Dolorous Edd.)
I do like the juxtaposition of the Night’s Watch-type outfits on the streets of the modern day UK. (Also, who knew the Google Map of Westeros would make for such a handy phone app?) One small gripe: whoever did the hair for “Khaleesi” didn’t go nearly elaborate or braid-happy enough. At least they got the level of violence right, though I don’t think it ever occurred to Martin to have characters die via guitar or lute.
Is Westeros Taxis an uber based outfit? Inquiring minds are curious…
