Major Cast Members Rumored to be in Girona, while Harington Rumored to be in Belfast

So far in Girona, we’ve seen a whole lot of footage of Maisie Williams filming Arya scenes with the waif. We’ve seen other areas set up for what are clearly scenes in King’s Landing, and heard rumors that there are plans for the Tarlys to visit the city. But we haven’t seen any of the rest of the A-list cast anywhere.

According to Diari de Girona, that’s about the change. According to its sources on the ground, no less than eight of the major stars are slated to arrive in the city, if they haven’t already done so. According to them, Maisie isn’t alone in Girona either. Along with Faye Marsay and Tom Wlaschiha, both Sophie Turner and Nikoaj Coster-Waldau are supposedly in residence.

I’m a little startled by both of those claims, to be honest. Last we heard about Coster-Waldau, he was heading to Iceland to film scenes in the Riverlands. Wherever he was (if he really was anywhere), the production managed to keep pics of him under wraps, despite out best efforts to find something.

But at least the idea of Jaime Lannister in King’s Landing makes sense. After all, he’s going to have to pass through the city to drop off Myrcella’s body to a grieving Cersei before beating a hasty retreat to as far away from her rage as he can get. Sophie Turner though? Last we saw of her, she was jumping off the walls of Winterfell into the snow. All theories of her whereabouts (especially now that we know she’ll separate from Theon, while he heads to the Iron Islands) involve Northern strongholds to find Rickon, or perhaps the Eyrie to return to being Alayne Stone with a vengeance, now that she has to keep hidden from not just Cersei and the Lannisters, but from her horrific husband and the Boltons. (Yes, that’s two different families she’s married into, both of which she needs to hide from.) Few people imagined her going to King’s Landing or Braavos. (Or even to Oldtown, as some think Girona will also stand in for that city.)

The other actors Diari di Girona names as on their way to the city make more sense: Natalie Dormer and Lena Headey are both mentioned, though Headey is probably coming in as late as possible, since she’s been on maternity leave. They also speculate that Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) may be arriving. Emilia Clarke is rumored to have passed through the city, but did not stay to film. This would make sense, as her scenes are assumed to be happening in Navarre and Almería.

Then of course, there’s our old friend Kit Harington, who has spent the last month attempting to lie as low as his huge head of hair will allow. Rumors have him spotted back in Belfast.

Perhaps to film some new scenes now that everyone’s attention is focused in Spain?
