But Game of Thrones’ Season 6 trailer could not be found
Therefore, having directed YouTube for notifications
We seized the keyboard
And set out at once for the trailers of yore
Where the Throbblefoot Spectre still loitered in a distraught manner
We presented it with a ranking of trailers passed
And passed on to the statue of Corrupted Endeavor
To await the arrival of Winter.

What is it that makes the Game of Thrones trailers good, anyway? Is it merely the anticipation of their arrival that makes us think they’re the best thing in marketing that ever was? How have these trailers held up over time? Which of them is the best? While we wait for a full two-and-a-half minute trailer to give us glimpses into Season 6, let’s go through and rank the trailers from the first five years of the show.
