Did Game of Thrones cast members reveal spoilers while playing “Two Truths and a lie?”

Back in April, before the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere, several of the show’s cast members sat down with Yahoo to play what seemed at the time like a harmless game: “Two Truths and a Lie.” Basically, they were asked to say three things about the season, two of which were true and one of which wasn’t. A lot of the cast members gave jokey answers that didn’t tell us much, but a couple broke rank, or appeared to.

Now that the season has four episodes under its belt, Time revisited the piece, and looked specifically at the answers given by Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams. Are there SPOILERS in there? There very well might be. Tread lightly.

BUT SERIOUSLY: SPOILER ALERT

Here are the two truths and a lie offered up by Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark:

  • Ramsay dies.
  • Lady Stoneheart returns.
  • Arya checks three people off her list.

We know that Ramsay will battle Jon Snow, presumably with Sansa’s support, later in the season. If things continue to go the way they are going, then Jon should win that battle. And that means that Ramsay will die. Truth.

There have been rumors about book character Lady Stoneheart appearing on the show since the end of Season 3…but sadly, it hasn’t happened. Could Season 6 finally be the time? We are going to return to the Riverlands this season, and that’s where Stoneheart turns up in the books. We also know that at least one member of the the Brotherhood without Banners, a group that’s involved with Stoneheart in the books, will be involved in this season. Is all this setting up Stoneheart’s appearance? Truth?

We heard Arya recite her list in “Oathbreaker.” There were three names remaining on it: Cersei Lannister, Gregor Clegane, and Walder Frey. It seems very unlikely she’ll get to all three of them this season. Lie.

Next, we have Maisie Williams (Arya Stark):

  • Arya goes to Westeros, back over the sea.
  • Arya is in the trailer more times than people have realized, because they don’t realize it’s her.
  • Arya doesn’t cross any more names off her list.

I already firmly believe that Arya will go back to Westeros this season. Truth.

It’s possible that Arya will learn to change her face this season, as Faceless Men do. She could have been int he trailers more than we realize. Truth.

Finally, I think this last one is a flat-out lie. If Arya goes back across the Narrow Sea to Westeros, she will return with a purpose, and I think it’ll be to cross someone off her list, whether at the behest of the Faceless Men or on her own. Lie.

If Game of Thrones has taught us anything in the past five seasons, it’s that nothing is for sure. For all we know, by the end of the season, Ramsay will be alive and both Jon and Sansa could die, Arya could stop caring about her list and live happily in Braavos. But then again, maybe not. Read into what Williams and Turner had to say as you will.
