Cast members pitch their dream endings for Game of Thrones

Entertainment Weekly did extensive coverage of Game of Thrones Season 6 before it began. While it had the ears of several of the actors, it asked them to pitch their ultimate endings for the show. Their answers vary widely in tone, but all are worth hearing.

I feel the need to categorize coming on:

  • Most epic: Gwendoline Christie’s vision of an all-out battle royal for the throne that involves Daenerys getting killed by one of her own dragons.
  • Most surprising: Sophie Turner wants Sansa to sit the Iron Throne, which I could see, but still wants Littlefinger hanging around as Hand of the King. Will these two make up?
  • Funniest: Emilia Clarke just wants to pick up some hot dudes and chill with the Iron Throne in the Caribbean.
  • Most realistic: Natalie Dormer wants Margaery’s daughter by Tommen, Rose Baratheon, to sit the Iron Throne. Hey, I didn’t say it was realistic, just more realistic than the others.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, the sight has been tracking what plotlines people talk about most following each episode. For example, check out the graphic it made for “The Door”:

As expected, the great majority of talk revolved around Hodor. Also, I wonder when (and if) people will follow the show’s lead and start calling the Night’s King “the Night King.”

Twitter tracks which emojis are used with what characters, as well. Notice that, is this graphic about “Blood of My Blood,” the flame emoji shows up under Daenerys’ name, for obvious reasons.

Twitter has done this for every episode of the series. What will the graphic look like after “The Broken Man?” We’ll find out soon enough.
