The Game Revealed: Go behind the scenes of Game of Thrones Episodes 609 and 610 (Video)

The final episode of The Game Revealed, HBO’s continuing docu-series about Game of Thrones Season 6, has been released. This one focuses on what are arguably the two best episodes of the season: Episode 609, “Battle of the Bastards,” and Episode 610, “The Winds of Winter.” Watch and enjoy:

It’s always fun seeing behind-the-scenes shots of actors just hanging out and smiling between playing intense drama.

  • Kit Harington: “I would like to put on record right now that I have had more shit thrown at me than any actor on this show.” I don’t think he was talking about literal shit, but point taken. Jon looked filthy by the end of “Battle of the Bastards,” which was the point.
  • I like director Miguel Sapochnik’s idea about the montage where all the characters are dressing before heading to the Sept of Baelor: it’s them “get[ting] ready for work.” But this wasn’t an ordinary day at the office…
  • Sapochnik on what Lyanna says to Ned: “The best way to answer that question is not to answer it. You’re not gonna know what she said.” What? Just tell us what she said, show!
  • Again, everybody’s making noise about Sansa not being okay with Jon being picked to lead the North over her. This is making me very nervous for next season.
  • Actual line from the script, from the scene where Cersei is crowned: “Cersei, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm, invites you to all go fuck yourselves.” Well, how do you not love that? Also, it sounds like David Benioff and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau confirm what we all suspect: Cersei’s reign is gonna be a disaster.

Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei): “Bring on Season 7, like, right now.” What she said.
