Game of Thrones production returns to the Wall, cast members spotted around Belfast

As preparations continue to film material for Game of Thrones Season 7 in Spain, shooting is underway in Northern Ireland. Recently, there have been reports that the production has returned to Magheramorne quarry, home to the sets for the Wall and the exterior of Castle Black.

One intrepid fan snapped photos of the set and those telltale pink signs.

So we’re returning to Castle Black in Season 7. That’s to be expected, although you have to wonder how much time the show will spend there. For the first time in its history, no major character is living in the old castle—the only named character still there is Dolorous Edd. But perhaps Jon will visit to shore up the Wall’s defenses. After all, the stronger the Wall is, the harder it’ll be for White Walkers to breach it.

Or maybe the show is filming its collapse. A sobering thought.

On to happier topics, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) found the bright side of working on Sunday morning when she snapped a photo of the Harland and Wolff cranes, which are near Titanic Studios, bathed in early morning sunlight.

Perty. Elsewhere in Belfast, John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) has been spotted.

One fan got a picture with both Bradley and Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), at a Belfast hotel.

Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) and Hannah Murray (Gilly) visited the Boojum Mexican Burrito Bar, which seems to be a popular hangout spot for many Game of Thrones actors. No better place for burritos than Northern Ireland.

So Sam’s with Missandei and Grey Worm’s with Gilly. It’s like the two couples swapped members for the day.

And now, to take you out, here’s Sophie Turner (Sansa) wearing some funky glasses that light up. Enjoy.

Okay, one more thing to take you out: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) holding what looks like a wrestling championship belt. He posted this picture on his newly created Instagram account. I’m not sure what circumstances led to this pic but pleased he’s having a good time.
