Welcome to WiC Weekly, where we count down through the latest and greatest Game of Thrones-related news stories to come out over the past week.

Let’s start with the on-set reports. There were a lot of them this week, particularly out of the Spanish town of Zumaia.

There was also activity at the Roman Ruins of Italica. What kind of set is the production building there? Click on.

Although security has been pretty good, photographers have still snapped a few shots of the cast members at work on set. Sometimes, they’ve gotten pics of actors we weren’t sure were coming back.

In addition to old characters returning, we also have new ones arriving. Who will this young woman be playing?

It looks like the show will shoot at least some material at the Wall in Season 7. With the White Walkers on the march, I’m a little afraid of what might happen there.

Even Emilia Clarke got in on the fun and posted some images from wherever she’s filming in Northern Ireland. Apparently, the weather isn’t cooperating.

Moving on from set reports, check out the unveiling of the George R.R. Martin Box, an ambitious piece of Game of Thrones merchandise that’s coming in time for the holidays.

Speaking of George R.R. Martin, he’s been named the fourth most powerful writer in Hollywood. Hurrah!

Last week, HBO debuted Westworld, a show it’s hoping can fill the hole Game of Thrones leaves when it goes off the air in a couple of years. Does it fit the bill?

Finally, get an idea of what the major Game of Thrones cast members pull down per episode. Unsurprisingly, it’s rather a lot.
