Welcome to WiC Weekly, where we recap the biggest Game of Thrones-related stories from the past week. Onto the breach with us.

Let’s begin with some news about The Winds of Winter, the long-gestating sixth book in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Hopefully the book comes out this year. But if it doesn’t, do fans have the right to be upset? What, if anything, do artists owe the people who enjoy their art. We get into it in this week’s Small Council post.

In more certain news, the Golden Globes happened recently! Unfortunately, Game of Thrones didn’t do too well.

It wasn’t a total waste, though. Even if Game of Thrones did win any Golden Globes, it at least had a good showing in the incidental parts of the ceremony.

The Golden Globes also provided an opportunity for some of the actors to talk to the press. And a few of them had interesting things to say.

Let’s move on to SPOILERS. With filming back on, crew members popped up in a new location.

It wasn’t long before cast members started to show up. But which ones?
