Character Overview: Rakharo is a young Dothraki warrior that serves as a bodyguard to Daenerys Targaryen.
NOTE: Gabel was originally cast as Jhogo, but his character was changed to Rakharo during production as the name Jhogo was considered too similar to Drogo.
Actor Bio: Elyes Gabel was born in London but has lived in Canada and Manchester. Gabel trained at Strodes College, the Oldham Theatre Workshop and the Northern Kids Theatre Company. He dropped out of drama school to play the part of the mummy Nuff, in the children’s television show, I Love Mummy. His big break came when he was cast in the BBC medical drama Casualty. After spending 6 seasons on Casualty, Gabel moved on and had a string of appearances on shows such as Dead Set, Waterloo Road, Apparitions and Identity. – Wikipedia
