Character Overview: Ygritte is a wildling woman that Jon Snow meets during his adventures beyond the Wall. She is described as strong-willed, witty, skilled in battle and survival in the wilderness. An unconventional beauty, skinny but strong with red hair (which the wildlings consider “kissed by fire”).

Actor Bio: Rose Leslie is a Scottish actress. She was born in Aberdeen, and attended Millfield School before spending three years (2005–2008) at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art graduating with a BA Honours degree. Leslie made her debut in the 2009 TV film New Town, for which she won the Scottish BAFTA for Best Acting Performance – New Talent Award. In September and October 2010 she appeared at the Globe Theatre in Nell Leyshon’s play Bedlam. Most recently, she appeared in the role of Gwen, a housemaid, in the ITV series, Downton Abbey in all seven episodes.
