Game of Thrones finale will be screened at Bonnaroo

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan attending Bonnaroo this Sunday, you will have the good fortune of being able to catch the season finale even though you aren’t at home to enjoy it in whatever way you normally feel comfortable. Consequence of Sound reports that the Cinema Tent at the music festival will be screening the episode Sunday night at 10:00 P.M., 11:30 P.M., and 12:30 A.M, after the NBA finals. There’s even an actual Iron Throne to sit in; the seat of honor was raffled off to lucky attendees who entered the contest before 5:00 P.M. Friday evening. (The lucky winners of this contest also won a “premium HBO prize pack,” whatever that is, and VIP tickets to next year’s Bonnaroo.) Additionally, throughout the festival, the Tent is airing the most recent episodes of the show, beginning with “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken” on Thursday and building into last week’s episode “The Dance of Dragons” on Sunday, a few hours before the first screening of “Mother’s Mercy.” So that’s more than enough Thrones action to soothe your aching Bonnaroo-strolling feet.
