Ten questions Game of Thrones Season 7 needs to answer
By Corey Smith
7. What will Euron do with those ships after he builds them?
Thankfully for credibility’s sake, crazy Uncle Euron did not show up in the Season 6 finale with his thousand ships, but rather remained offscreen back on the Iron Islands. But assuming Euron completes the building of the new and improved Iron Fleet sometime during the show’s hiatus, what exactly does have have planned for it?
We assume that Euron will not take kindly to his niece and nephew making off with Daenerys before the King of the Iron Islands got the chance, although it’s also possible that Euron has yet to realize his prize has already been claimed. Either way, Euron is likely still headed for Meereen, either still intent on winning Daenerys to his cause, or with vengeance on his mind. This will not bode well for Daenerys and her armada. Assuming Euron does have his thousand ships, or even a number close to it, he could pose a serious problem for Dany, who we don’t think has that many.
In short, fans may be treated to the first large-scale naval battle of the series in Season 7. Yes, we know the Battle of Blackwater Bay had a large naval portion, but it didn’t involve two fleets engaging in ship-to-ship combat.
