Video: Kit Harington holds court with fans in Seville, plus more cast pics

For better or worse, the tidal wave of pics from the set of Game of Thrones Season 7, which was crushing when the production was filming on a series of open-air beaches, has stopped. The cast and crew have settled in the city of Seville, where they’re filming scenes at the ruins of Italica. (And later the Royal Shipyards.) Those locations have walls, so we can assume that few on-set pics will be forthcoming. (Although it doesn’t pay to underestimate the resourcefulness of Game of Thrones-loving shutterbugs.)

But there are still plenty photos coming from the streets of Seville, where the cast members are come upon by their adoring public. Minor SPOILERS follow.

Naturally, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) is one of more popular actors in town. Check out these two videos, one of him arriving at his hotel (no sound), and one of him greeting his adoring public (replete with the noise of screaming fans).

My favorite thing about the second video may be Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) calming taking video of the crowd as they fawn over Haringon. And Harington has the waving and  blowing-kisses-to-the-public thing down. That’ll be useful if he ever in a parade.

Speaking of Harington, intrepid photographer PAP4U posted a few new shots of him on set in Northern Ireland some weeks back, discussing something with a crew member.

And here he is posing with fans who’ve either painted or created a portrait of him. Thoughtful.

We also have clearer shots of people we knew were in town but we hadn’t seen up close. For example, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the Mountain) openly asked for a recommendation for a gym in Seville. Being that huge and terrifying-looking doesn’t just happen.

Also, while a fan previously got a snap of Lena Headey (Cersei) having dinner with Conleth Hill (Varys) from afar, there was nothing up close. Now, here she is with a fan, in all her pre-blonde wig glory.

If her Instagram is any indication, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is glad to be in Spain.

She looks a lot happier there than when she posted a video of herself filming in Northern Ireland. Lest we forget:

This next photo, of several cast members partying in Bilbao before heading to Seville, is interesting because of the gentleman on the left.

It’s no surprise to see Clarke, Cunningham, and Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei). The guy on the left is Staz Nair, an actor and model who appeared in Season 6 as a Dothraki warrior named Qhono. He was last seen bowing to Daenerys with everyone else after her khal barbecue in “Book of the Stranger.”

Was he just in Bilbao to hang out with old buddies, or will he appear in Season 7? After all, so far as we know, Qhono is still kicking.

And finally, here’s a side-by-side of Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime) holding bats in a menacing fashion in the style of Negan, the new big bad over on The Walking Dead. I don’t know the context of these photos and I don’t think I need to.
