Video: Go behind the scenes of the Loot Train Attack with Emilia Clarke and Matt Shakman

The DVD/Blu-ray boxset for Game of Thrones season 7 comes out on December 12, just in time for Christmas. As usual, there will be plentiful special features on it. PEOPLE got its hands on an advance clip from a special feature about the Loot Train Attack, Daenerys’ assault on the Lannister men in the fourth episode and, in my opinion, easily the action high point of the season. Director Matt Shakman, VFX supervisor Joe Bauer, star Emilia Clarke and more ruminate on what it was like to bring this historic sequence to life:

So season 6 featured 11 shots of Clarke riding the dragons, while season 7 featured 80. Can we expect a similar uptick in dragon-riding shots come season 8, particularly since there’s now more than one rider in play? Smart money’s on yes. Things are going to get intense.

The above clip is likely from “Fire & Steel: Creating the Invasion of Westeros,” one of several special features to be included on the season 7 boxset. There will also be audio commentaries on every episode and a feature called the Animated History of the Seven Kingdoms, which will tell the story of Aegon Targaryen’s invasion of Westeros as narrated by the show’s stars. Check out a sample below, narrated by Harry Lloyd (Viserys Targaryen).

Finally, people who spring for the Blu-ray version will get access to several History and Lore segments, which explore other parts of Westerosi history in greater detail. It’ll all be available this upcoming Tuesday.
