If you’re a fan of Westworld, we’ve got some exciting news for you: Entertainment Weekly has released 19 all-new photos from the show’s second season, which is coming out next month. The photos focus on an ensemble of characters and reveal the name of that hulking unfinished host from the season 2 trailer below:
That song would be “Runaway,” arranged by Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi.
EW is doing a full spread on Westworld in its new issue. Vengeful androids, trippy mysteries, and strange new worlds? Count me in!

Now on to the photos. First, we’ve got newly sentient Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) wearing something very different from the homespun look she sported in season 1:

But the old outfit isn’t gone:

EW notes that fans should expect a “merciless Dolores in season 2.” After what she went through in season 1, she has every right to be a murderbot.
Starting from where we left off, season 2 should begin with Dolores leading a host uprising from inside the park, while Maeve (Thandie Newton) leading it from inside Delos HQ. Dolores’ beaux Teddy (James Marsden) will return as well:

It will be interesting to see how Teddy reacts to the realization that he isn’t a real boy. Hopefully Dolores can override Teddy’s good guy programming so he, too can enjoy murdering humans.

From left to right, we have Teddy Flood, the Man in Black (Ed Harris), Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright), Dolores Abernathy, and Maeve Millay.
That hulking unfinished host from the trailer is called “Droid Host” and has something to do with a top-secret Delos project. It’s very big and very scary.

Will Bernard remain his quiet unassuming self in season 2? Or will he take on the role of Arnold and create new hosts like his mentor Rober Ford (Anthony Hopkins) did? Here’s Ber he is with Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson), the executive director of the Delos Destinations board.

I wonder if Bernard will tell Charlotte that he, is in fact, a host. Probably not right away, since the above photo appears to show Bernard leading the survivors of the massacre from the season 1 finale to an escape hatch somewhere in the park. Wherever they’re going, I’m sure head of security Ashley Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) will be looking to help them.

Ed Harris plays the Man in Black, and he does it so well that I’m riveted to my seat every time he’s on screen. He’s looking a little disheveled below, though:

Notice his shirt has blood on it. His own?
Finally, Maeve will be back in season 2, and she’s taking no prisoners.

Looks like Westworld’s lead writer Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) is going to run into Maeve, and it might not turn out too great for him, seeing as how he probably wrote the scenario that had Maeve lose her young daughter to marauding Indians.
Westworld season 2 premieres on April 22 on HBO. For more photos, head to Entertainment Weekly.
