The third season of The Last Kingdom is finally here, in all its bloody glory! The full 10 episodes have dropped on Netflix, so grab your mead and mutton and gather around the fire for mighty tales of kings, warriors, rogues and monks! Based on The Saxon Stories novels by Bernard Cornwell, The Last Kingdom is set in pre-medieval 9th century England when the pagan Viking invaders have nearly overwhelmed every Christian Saxon territory save one: King Alfred’s kingdom of Wessex.

Our hero, Uhtred of Bebbanburg, born a Saxon but raised a Dane, is a man trapped between two worlds. Will he regain his ancestral home at Bebbanburg this season, or will his begrudging allegiance to the ailing King Alfred force him in other directions?
