Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is heading to the 1970s! At least that’s what it looks like based on the glimpse we got of his upcoming show at Disney’s “investor day” earlier this week.

We’ve known for a while that Loki was going to have his own series on Disney+, the company’s forthcoming streaming service. But how could that happen, since Loki died in Avengers: Infinity War? And he wasn’t snapped to death, either; Thanos killed him directly, so I’m not sure he was brought back in Endgame. How does he come back from that? Can he come back from that?

According to this shot, he may not need to:

In the picture above, look directly past and over Kevin Feige’s head and you’ll see Loki standing on a street in front of a movie theater playing Jaws, which places him in 1975. The cars help, too. It looks like the Loki show will be a period piece.

Or something. Disney hasn’t released much info about the upcoming Loki series, but based on this quick glimpse, it looks like the reports are true and that the series will feature the God of Mischief flitting around to different time periods and stirring up trouble. Loki fomenting revolution in 1800s France? Loki talking Brutus into stabbing Caesar? Loki having his mind blown by Jaws? We are on board.

And really, I suppose Loki wouldn’t have to be resurrected for this show to work. In Endgame, we saw an alternate universe version of Loki more than capable of doing bad all by himself. Those multiple dimensions really give the writers a lot of legroom.
