As The Last Kingdom heads into the homestretch of filming on season 4, the stars of Netflix’s medieval drama show no signs of stopping the flow of behind-the-scenes images. We recently shared our first look at a new foe for hero Uhtred of Bebbanburg: Jamie Blackley as Eardwulf. Now we get a look at another new character: Uhtred’s daughter Stiorra, who according to United Agents is played by Ruby Hartley.

Eliza Butterworth (Aelswith) brings us the image via her Instagram stories:

Last time we saw, she was just a little girl, so it looks like season 4 will have a time jump.

Butterworth caught Hartley in the midst of mad knife-wielding charge, hence the blurriness, but it appears Hartley, Butterworth, and Uhtred’s crew will all be present at the mysterious forest scene we’ve seen pop up a few times. Either way, it seems Stiorra is clearly her father’s daughter.

Butterworth gave us a few more shots from the forest filming. Here she is enjoying a ride alongside Finan (Mark Rowley) and Sihtric (Arnas  Fedaravicius):

Poor Sihtric feels left out, it seems.

Creeping out of the photo, we also see Osferth (Ewan Mitchell):

Come on, baby monk, step into the limelight!

Butterworth also treats us to a rare shot of our lord, Uhtred son of Uhtred, in the same forest scene:

Moving out of the forest, Butterworth also shared a pair of images of herself and onscreen son Edward (Timothy Innes) rocking their trains:

Elsewhere,  Fedaravicius enjoys some down time between scenes, putting the show’s props to good use:

Fedaravicius tagged Stefanie Martini in this post. Martini will be playing Eadith, a potential love interest for Uhtred, and the sister of new rival Eardwulf.

Not one to be caught doing anything silly, Mark Rowley (Finan) shares a photo of himself in the midst of battle:

Rowley takes his job seriously. Here he is walking towards the camera with dignity, as recorded by James Northcote (Aldhelm):

Finally, Adrian Bouchet (Steapa) shared an image of himself talking with stunt coordinator Levente Lezsák. Hopefully this means more Steapa mayhem in season 4.

Filming should be wrapping up soon, but until then, bring on the behind-the-scenes images. Destiny is all!

Next. Expect “a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears” in The Last Kingdom season 4. dark
