It’s all about DC superhero suits today. First up, Warner Bros. gave fans the first teaser for Shazam: Fury of the Gods, the sequel to the 2019 movie starring Zachary Levi as a young kid who turns into a hulking superhero whenever he utters the magic word. According to The A.V. Club, a look at Levi’s new superhero outfit for the sequel leaked the other day, so perhaps this is director David F. Sandberg’s of getting out ahead of things:

Very grim, very moody, and very funny at the end; Shazam’s sense of humor is still very much in talk, although the new suit does seem a little less bright and colorful than the original.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods won’t come out until June 2, 2023. We don’t know what exactly it’s about, but we know Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu will be playing villains, which is enough to get us interested.

Batman Returns…in Andy Muschietti’s The Flash movie

Next, director Andy Muschietti previewed the return of Michael Keaton’s Batman in his movie about The Flash, starring Ezra Miller in the title role. Keaton played Batman way back in 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns. We don’t know exactly how he’ll figure into the new movie, but it probably has something to do with the Flash hopping between alternate universes.

Anyway, the actual image is kinda disturbing, with blood smeared across Batman’s black-and-yellow chest plate. Is that Batman’s blood, or the blood of the guy he just wholloped?

Out own Ashley Hurst drew some parallels:

The Flash comes out on November 4, 2022.
