House of the Dragon casts new actors! The Witcher season 2 gets a trailer! The Lord of the Rings is unsafe (maybe)! Lots to talk about this week:

Here at WiC Weekly, we recap the week-in, week-out goings-on at WiC…weekly. Shall we begin?

First up, we got some new casting information about House of the Dragon, and it is extremely intriguing:

Kingkiller author Patrick Rothfuss talks about the upcoming anniversary edition of his book The Wise Man’s Fear…while telling us pretty much nothing new about The Doors of Stone:

There’s a reason George R.R. Martin takes so long to write his Song of Ice and Fire books: they are packed to the brim with interconnected details.

Supernatural veteran Jensen Ackles looks like he’s taking his new gig on The Boys very seriously:

House of the Dragon is a prequel to Game of Thrones, so it may well use some old Game of Thrones locations. Or this is just a drafty castle: you decide.

How are things going on the set of Amazon’s fabulously expensive Lord of the Rings series? It depends who you ask:

Once upon a time, Zack Snyder pitched a Star Wars movie to Lucasfilm, but it didn’t end up happening. What’s a director to do? Well…

The Witcher season 2 is coming! And it’s brought a friend:

It’s very rare that you’ll see anyone involved in Star Wars tell you to not but merch, but there’s always that one exception:

Returning to that first bit of House of the Dragon news, let’s appreciate just how good a job the HBO casting department did at matching the new actors to their older counterparts:
