House of the Dragon is off and running, The Rings of Power is almost here, and there’s plenty more news besides. It’s busy round these parts these days.

It’s time for WiC Weekly, when we go over the biggest news the past seven days had to offer, particularly those that relate to sci-fi, fantasy, movies and TV.

Naturally, the sun rose and set with House of the Dragon last week. The first episode is excellent:

Galadriel is a wandering warrior, Númenor stands on the brink, and wargs roam the wood. Check out the trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power!

Game of Thrones had an iconic opening credits sequence. Can House of the Dragon measure up?

A prominent author who shares an editor with Patrick Rothfuss claims that The Doors of Stone is “at the editor and has a release date.” Is there anything to that?

Back to House of the Dragon, what was the deal with those little marbles they were using during small council meetings?

The Umbrella Academy is coming back for one more apocalypse!

The second episode of House of the Dragon is almost upon us! A primer:

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is slowing coming into focus:

That was fast (and correct):

Phillip Pullman warned the His Dark Materials show team about his complex third book. “I’m really sorry, I fear I’ve left you with some terrible problems.”

There’s plenty more news ahead of us! Stick around all week.

Next. Where is Bruce Banner going in the new episode of She-Hulk?. dark
