The Crown is a unique show in that it switches out actors every couple of seasons as its characters age. In terms of recent royal history, one of the best known members of the royal family is Diana, Princess of Wales, born Diana Spencer. She was introduced onto the show in season 4 as a young woman played by English actor Emma Corrin. In the recently released season 5, she is played by Australian actor Elizabeth Debicki.

Debicki is 32 years old and has had a good amount of success already in movies and TV. She was in Baz Luhrman’s The Great Gatsby movie, the 2015 MacBeth movie alongside Michael Fassbender, and starred Ayesha in the second Guardians of the Galaxy movie; she’ll be back for Vol. 3.

That said, her most visible role is definitely as Diana in The Crown season 5. She’s drawn a lot of attention for how much she looks like the actual Princess Diana. The show has always had a great eye for casting.
