First look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux

We have the first look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in the upcoming Joker sequel, Folie À Deux. And it is basically everything we would have wanted and imagined, and it’s not even a full-length picture of her.

When we found out that Lady Gaga would be playing the role of Harley Quinn, I think most of us nodded our heads in approval, because it just makes sense. I’m honestly surprised that we hadn’t seen her take on this role before now, but better late than never!

Back in December, director Todd Phillips shared a teaser image of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker from the upcoming sequel. There wasn’t much to take away from the image except that he was covered in sores and being shaved by someone who could be wearing an Arkham Asylum uniform.

While the picture didn’t tell us much, perhaps this is the point where we get to see Lady Gaga’s Harleen Quinzel enter the story. Maybe she’s still working as a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, and over the course of the movie we’ll see her transform into Harley Quinn.

I have so many questions, and while I love the teaser image, it doesn’t answer any of them. But that’s part of the fun, isn’t it?

In the image below we see Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix as Harley Quinn and the Joker, with either blood or makeup smeared on their faces. Either they were having a heavy makeout session or something has gone very wrong.

Whatever it is, this is awesome, and it has me incredibly excited. And remember: the movie is a musical!
