5 strongest heroes (and 5 scariest villains) from Invincible season 1
Villain: Omni-Man
Omni-Man was the main bad guy of season 1. He murders the original Guardians of the Globe and thousands of innocent civilians besides, in addition to beating his son Invincible into a mountain and calling his wife Debbie a pet. Pretty harsh stuff for a guy who is supposed to be one of Earth’s main protectors.
Although he’s already done all kinds of bad stuff, Invincible seemed to get through to his father in the season 1 finale, at least a little. Enough to make him rethink his actions and stop beating Mark into a pulp, at least. After looking down on his bloodied son, Omni-Man sheds a few tears before flying straight into space, heading for parts unknown.
Does he regret his actions? Or is he just going to get Viltrumite reinforcements to help him take over Earth? Hopefully we find out soon after season 2 kicks off.
Hero: Invincible
After the departure of his dad Omni-Man, there is a real case for Invincible being the strongest person on Earth. He is virtually unkillable thanks to his Viltrumite DNA and his superhuman strength, speed, flight and healing factor are unmatched. Oh, and he’ll live for thousands of years just like other Viltrumites.
Over the course of season 1, Invincible helps take down all sorts of smaller players like D.A. Sinclair and his reanimen, Dr. Seismic and the Flaxans invaders. The only times he really got his butt kicked were against Battle Beast and his father Omni-Man, which puts things into perspective how much work he still needs to do to get stronger.
And stronger he will surely get, because there are other Viltrumites out there and not all of them are his dad. The other bad guys may not be willing to let him recover.
