A confectionery genius has turned Game of Thrones characters into cake pops

Cake pops: they’re part cake, part lollipops, all delicious. The dessert hybrid rose to prominence several years ago, but wasn’t perfected until very recently, when Leeds-based baker Lou Lou P’s Delights modeled a number of cake pops on Game of Thrones characters.

“Every so often a TV series or someone from pop culture will scream out to be cake popped,” baker Lou said. “I’ve ‘popped’ so many of my faves: Walt and Jesse from Breaking Bad to my favourite horror movie Stars.” It’s true—his cake pop version of Carrie (from Carrie) is worth a look.

Personally, I’ve always had trouble eating food with faces on it. It’s too easy ascribe personalities to it—consuming gingerbread men was always very difficult for me. Still, these cake pops are well-done. Maybe I could just buy a bunch, keep them refrigerated, and look at them from time to time.
