Emilia Clarke: Season 6 is going to be “sick,” “mental”
By Dan Selcke
Of all the major cast members on Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke has seemed, of late, the most willing to share her thoughts on the upcoming season. At this point, VIP cast members like her have gotten a chance to look at the scripts for Season 6, and Clarke has said that next year will be “go, go, go”—and even broke out an evil laugh to rub in the fact that we have to wait to find out what happens.
Her excitement was on display again in a recent interview with The Daily Star, a British tabloid. “I’ve seen some of the new scripts and I’m like a kid on a sugar high,” she said. “I can’t handle how sick some of them are.”
Admittedly, there isn’t a whole lot of new information here, but it’s nice to see that Clarke’s enthusiasm for the material hasn’t dimmed. Those scripts must be interesting if they make her break out the colloquialisms like this. “We’re just going to hit the audience with every episode, coming up with something more mental that the last,” she continued. “I can’t believe some of the twists in store.” See what I mean? You don’t break out words like “sick” or “mental” unless you’re really enthused.
It’s not known whether these big events will involve Daenerys or if she’s reacting to parts of the scripts that don’t feature her character. Incidentally, multiple sources have reported that, in the Daily Star interview, Clarke reiterated that she’s on Team Jon-Snow-Is-Dead-And-Not-Coming-Back-In-Any-Form, so take that as you will.
But in the end, we still know nothing. Behind-the-scenes pictures from the production have begun to leak in, so hopefully we can bring you more details about exactly how sick and mental Season 6 will be before long.
