While we wait to see what Meereenese scenes are going to be filmed in Spain, Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Dany’s right hand woman Missandei, is teasing us about the new possibilities opening up for her and those of Dany’s crew who were left behind to rule the city while she went joyriding on Drogon.

Over the weekend, Emanuel attended the Virgin Media Louder Lounge at V Festival in Essex, and sat down for an interview with Digital Spy where she discussed what she could and could not reveal about Game of Thrones Season 6.

“I guess this season definitely has a lot of momentum, you feel that from the beginning. I think the fans are going to suddenly be seeing even more characters… interacting with characters they haven’t seen them interact with before. We had a bit of that in the last season, but it kicks up a bit more this season so it’s pretty exciting.”

She’s also really excited to be working more with Peter Dinklage. Before she was cast on the show, Tyrion and Dany were her favorite characters, so she feels blessed to have gotten to work with both.

“You have your favourites on the show – I was a fan from the beginning and it was definitely him and Daenerys as my favourite characters. So to bring those two people together, that’s really exciting.”

When asked who would headline a Game of Thrones festival, her answer is the character who seems to have been the show’s biggest one season wonder to date: Oberyn Martell. “If he were still alive, of course.” Kind of hard to headline a festival without eyes. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if Arya figured out how to do it.
