Lupita Nyong’o would like a cameo in Game of Thrones

Lupita Nyong’o has had quite the busy past couple of years. Since winning the Academy Award for best Supporting Actress for her role as Patsey in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, the 32-year-old actress was hired by J.J. Abrams to play Maz Kanata, a mysterious motion-captured alien in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She’ll also be voicing the mother-wolf Raksha in Disney’s live-action The Jungle Book.

Nyong’o, who is appearing on the cover of Vogue Magazine this October (for the second time), recently answered some questions about her life, her interests, and what show she’d like to make a cameo on. Hint: It’s Game of Thrones.

Honestly, the interview is probably staged…at least it seems that way. Although I do find Nyong’o quite refreshing, and think I could probably listen to her talk for hours. That’s a good thing if she’s looking to make a cameo on Game of Thrones, right? As to what role she could play, I could see her as a beautiful Summer Islander. Or, if Nathalie Emmanuel weren’t already doing such a fantastic job as an aged-up Missandei, I’d say Nyong’o would be perfect for that role.

Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) is also in the new Star Wars movie, so may Nyong’o can ask her to bend the ear of the Game of Thrones producers about getting her a role. As for when you can see Nyong’o as the mysterious Maz Kanata, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit theaters on December 18.
