New video goes behind the scenes of Game of Thrones Season 6

HBO has posted a new “Inside GoT” video that profiles the camera operators who work on the show. It’s not a trailer, but we can still catch quite a few glimpses of what’ll be going on in Season 6. Watch it above.

It’s cool to think that some of these camera operators have been with the show since Season 1. Let’s take a look at some of the more notable screenshots, which may mean taking a screen cap of every one.

A camera operator moves down a track. Expect at least one fancy tracking shot of horses lined up for battle at some point in the season.

Director Jack Bender, who’s doing episodes 5 and 6, examines a body in the House of Black and White. This looks like the same body Jaqen H’ghar is examining in this photograph:

In other words, expect some House of Black and White action in the middle of the season.

The Dothraki stare at something. Could they be gazing in wonderment as Drogon lights up the night?

Another shot of the Dothraki, hanging out and engaging in some debauchery.

As we all know, Daenerys is once again traveling with the Dothraki this year. Here she is sporty her new tattered clothing and frizzy hair.

Michael Huissman (Daario Naharis) fiddles with the camera. Wheeee!

In front of the camera, he and Jorah stalk purposefully through an alleyway.

I have no proof of this, but I think Jorah and Daario might be walking through an alleyway in this village. The walls looks similar. Perhaps this is somewhere they’re looking for Dany?

Here’s another shot of what looks like the same area. Are those just torches lighting up the night, or has Drogon been here, too?

Meanwhile, back in Meereen (I imagine), the Sons of the Harpy are at large again.

Peter Dinklage sighting!

Back in Westeros, here’s a shot of Ellie Kendrick back in action as Meera Reed.

A little further south, Davos and Melisandre have a chat. They have rather a lot to talk about.

This looks to me like a field of battle, possibly the site of the big showdown that will serve as the climax to the season.

More horses, possibly also arrayed for battle.

Notice the huge mass of extras over this camera operator’s left shoulder. It’s gonna be a hum-dinger.

This looks like a shot of the siege of Riverrun, filmed at Corbet-Banbridge.

Ah, the Winterfell courtyard. Notice the two children playing with swords in the middle-left of the frame. Here’s a closer look:

Betcha these are the two kids mentioned in the Season 6 casting calls. We have a pretty good idea of who they’ll be playing.

Finally, there’s this shot of Jaime standing on a ship, which I held until last because I suspect this might be a shot from behind-the-scenes of Season 5—he’s wearing the exact same outfit he had on when he passed by the isle of Tarth in “Sons of the Harpy.” I could be wrong, though.
