The Oscars can be a heady experience for any actor, young or old, nominated or not. The event billed as “Hollywood’s Biggest Night” has not traditionally been an event where many Game of Thrones actors have been invited. Although the younger generation of stars, from Maisie Williams to Kit Harington, have been working to cross over into the film world, their efforts have landed them more in the genre film world, which the Oscars have traditionally snubbed.
Still, Sophie Turner found herself with an invite, and not only an invite to walk the carpet, but to show up on the E! Oscars Red Carpet Pre-Show where she showed off a sage green Galvan gown. (Though her publicist insisted it was sage, I thought it looked more dove grey.) She boasted it was made from all sustainable materials, making it green in several ways.
But her boasting about her gown came after she was asked about her love of the Game of Thrones experience, and what she looks forward to when she gets her scripts. And this is where Turner may have lost her head a little. She, like many of the actors, said that the first thing she does is double check that she survives all the way to the end of the season, or if she is going to be killed off. In her words as she flipped through the script: “…death, death, death…Okay, I’m good for this season.”

Oh, you are, are you? Well, that’s good to know. Although our own spoiler round up suggested that Sophie Turner did in fact make it all the way until episode 10, it’s good to know that she won’t just make it to the end of the season, but survive through to Season 7.
Turner wasn’t the only one getting a little loose with the information. At the Independent Spirit Awards the day before (the “anti-Oscars,” if you will), Emilia Clarke was on hand as a presenter. Her co-presenter, Nate Parker, asked her the question that’s been on everyone’s minds for months now: was Jon Snow alive? He told her to “just give him a wink” if he was.
Well then! Perhaps that wink means that he’s alive…right now.
